starnac - don't worry, nobody gets a manual in this child rearing malarkey, and what the 'professionals' tell you changes from year to year anyway. Do what works for your baby, they're all different. When I think back mine was wrapped tightly in a blanket, put to sleep on his side, fed on demand, solid food at 3 months, etc. etc. and he's still here aged 24 so I can't have got it that far wrong.

Hope the weather's calmed down a bit pippi

    Well said !

And to your second point, um the weather DID calm down, it's now anything but calm. Hail/snow sideways at the speed of light or even at natrino speed! (ok it's only storm force, I'm exaggerating about it bing at the speed of light)

    :)

Starnac, can only echo what everyone else says, I'm sure you're doing a grand job :)

Pippi, corianders are looking very happy on our kitchen windowsill, lots of tiny new leaves appearing.

Have a warm and cosy weekend x

Rodders and I are off to meet my sister's tomorrow and we are going to a charity duck race apparently!

Need to start my Christmas Cards and wrapping. Tree is going up on Monday, that could be fun :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Did consider not having one or going smaller but decided that wherever we go Rodders is going to have to see them so he might as well get used to them at home.

Glad you are safe and cosy Pippi. Plans for the weekend?........... None at the moment but then I have to wait to see what Mr wants to do. Probably going to the gym at least once.

Hey up, bit snow here, wonder how we will fair through the night?

    Hope you are all good.

Keiss you are right my routines all higgelty piggelty - Fridays are weird now, it's not my first weekend night - I've tried to remember that tonight and did a bit cooking and tidying. Popped hc on to put up in the morning and the kitchens ready for baking in the am if I've time.

Dd has 2 chums here for a sleepover, Harry potter fest, I watched a bit of them but have left them too it.

Need do the bank and keep a close eye. Busy day tomorrow. Trying to get into a routine of sorti g the recycling on a Friday night as work is right beside the civic site. What a palava it gets into (my recycling) I tend to lobb it all it two boxes in the corner (bottles/cans/plastics washed). The only thing that goes in the bin, bin is cling film and soft plastic packaging. So we are about a bin bag every 10 days of rubbish, rubbish.

As I sorted it to ight, my normal mantra went through my head, why don't I sort it into seperate bits as I go and squish it as I go?

    I'm lazy that's why.

Invigilating everyday next week too. Been a hectic work week, Monday 14 hours, but the rest 4.5 hrs a day with admin for womble land and slow food invetween. But as keiss said, good for the pennies. Must do bank/cc update tomorrow.

I remember when you blogged about putting spices in what you cooked up for the chooks so it gave the house a lovely smell, I like that - hope you're still doing it!

I have to ask, and I *know* I'm going to feel stupid when you say, but what *is* hc? You popped it on last night to put it on in the morning? Its not the washing machine, or the dishwasher, the slow cooker, the breadmaker (don't think you have one of those anyway) ... I'm puzzled!

Glad everyone's safe, hope you have a good day wombling Pippi, and thet the weather is much improved for you.

Didn't get the Canada parcel posted yesterday, felt rubbish most of the afternoon. Managed to make a couple of wallets, and one is winging it's way off to Victioria as I speak!! DH was lovely and posted the parcel off this morning. :A

Now making up loads of sock cupcakes...found a different and better way to make them which means I don't need to make my own cup-cake holders :j So cheaper and quicker to make, can't be bad!!! :D Will take piccies once I have found my camera!!

I have a Christmas Fair tomorrow afternoon, then one on Friday...that's it then for this year. Hope I can sell a few things :D:D

There's three loads of washing is out on the line, as we have rain/sleet forecast for tomorrow...got to get through the back-log while we can!!

Have a great weekend everyone xxx
