Hey up chaps
Well done on holding out for the heating til Nov Keiss - we've a few storage heaterson here now. And, hats
Yay to plants needing repotted, its one of my all time favourites. Good for indoor and outdoor down to -10 - never met such a bonnie plant which is so versatile - (not that I've sold even one of it lately, doh!) very squally here indeed - hail bouncing off the work truck when I was in town
KC - yup cold here, down right brrish
Getting on with trying to fathom what on earth to put in this presentation and getting cranky.
Time for tea I thinkTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Did you have a cuppa tea? I've just come in from the garden - wedged the shed door shut with a bucket of slate chips
, pruning the grass (pulling up handfuls after I've chopped the top off with the shears - there's moss underneath, its been growing for so long
, put all the plantpots into the protection of the laurel type shrubs at the end of the garden, and oh rats, the one thing I meant to do was protect the sedum - I infilled some air bubbles from when I planted it last weekend - you can imagine how difficult planting can be with how heavy my soil is - but I need to put some bubble wrap over it, I think, poor little thing.
When I have energy, I'm definitely turning into an urban version of you. Or Keiss :j2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
supping now kc - how gorgeous an urban flowery person
keiss is very clever, better be her than me!
Got money from most of the folk for the work pressie (£10 left to collect) - although had a sneaky lunch out with DD at a cafe in town after her dentist thing, couldn't really afford it but we don't often get to treat and we had only one thing each and water to drinkTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

That all sounds good to me, Pippi - glad you got to sit down with dd for a little bit :j
Keiss is crafty in the mse sense, as well as a wonderful astronomer :j
I'm off for a cuppa tea now too2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Wow, I'm not so sure about that..all this praise is embarassing, thanks so much Pippi and KC.
:o We are all wonderful in our own ways.
Pippi, your horticulture knowledge is immense, as is your achievment in creating an amazing life in Orkney for you and your kids.
KC - really impressed with your gardening activities, the most I am doing today is hanging out the washing and wondering when I will ever get the rest of the weeding and tidy-up done...this weekend perhaps?! DH is really the Astronomer here (despite me having the quals). He was in Bristol last night holding a Star Party for over 40...thankfully it was clear, so people left happy. It is a busy time for him now, with lots of talks and star parties all over the place...think we have only one Astronomy-free weekend before December now:eek:
Going to collect DS2 from college at lunch-time today, then we are straight off to sunny Slough to see my li'l-sis. DS2 has an appointment with a sports-diabetes specialist in High Wycombe tomorrow morning....the things we do for our kids!! Mind you, it will be good to see my sis and family...haven't seen them for ages, depite "only" being 100 miles away!!
Right, need to finish the bag for my darling niece..her birthday was on Monday, but hadn't finished it in time. This way though, I will get to see her open the various parcels I have for her...much nicer!!
When are you off down south Pippi? You and the big/little 'uns must be getting excited!! :j
Have a wonderful couple of days...should be back here tomorrow/Saturday.

We're all wonderful, I think! I've yet to join a local astronomy society successfully - they've either been pre-startup or terminal decline round me, but now I'm here, there's a chance of finding an active one, tho not in this town - still only a short train ride away tho, which is great.
Keiss, hope your trip and more crafty activities go well, lovely to see your sis. Pippi, hope you're having a lovely time with OH.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

:o bad mum alert
:o
DD had tomato sauce sandwiches for her tea.:o
She wouldn't have anything else I offered her. Honest. She's now asleep on the settee which is typical as we have to go pick both my mum and DH up from work later. Mam had major car issues this morning so I had to have the car off DH to take her to work but it meant I had to take him too :cool:Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000
