Morning Pippi and :hello: all round.
Good to catch up - I didn't know about pampas grass connotations either - and because I is so sweet and innocent (:p) I'm not sure I really know what the link is - but don't fill me in, I've got this far in life without knowing :rotfl:(and yes, I do know what s****ing is - not that innocent)
We watched 'Another Year' on Saturday night, you asked me a little while ago if i had seen it. What a good film. All the blurb says 'not a lot happens', which is true, but golly the acting performances are good - particularly Lesley Manville. I hadn't realised that Tom and Gerry's allotment would be the vehicle for the 'passing seasons' - and I love when 'other people's' allotments are depicted in film/tv anyway. What was even better was that I got the DVD from the library for the price of the reservation fee (twas in another part of the metropolis) of 35p, but the loan was free because we had collected our 'stamps' from other media loans - definitely cheaper than the cinema and definitely :money: We also had a HM 'Dine in £10' for the 2 of us, except ours (including the DVD fee) was 'Dine in for £7.30'!! We had HM deep dish pizza, emulating a recipe of a pizzeria in San Francisco, so there was spinach, onions, garlic, mushrooms, tomatoes, cream cheese and mozarella in it with saute potatoes (square chips!) and a bottle of Chianti (on special at Mr S). We had 2 slices each of pizza, and there were 4 slices left - 2 of which went into the freezer and we had the other 2 for our picnic lunch on Sunday. :money: all the way!
Anyway, better get a wiggle on. Hope everyone has a great day.

Greying what a lovely evening - glad you saw the film, I did enjoy it too - and a lovely dine in experience. Wonderful.
Up and about here - revoluting out there, utterly vile - 50mph winds and our usual wash the windows rain. At least they are getting a wash eh?

morning all. first load of washing out on line and kettle has just boiled. my mum took DD to school this morning so saved on bus fare. today I have to "get going" and do some things. I've borrowed some PMA from the small things thread and am now looking for some motivation
need to check banks but am afraid it will ruin my positive attitude as it is very tight this month.
mmmm this tea could do with a biscuit. shame we only have party rings here. maybe I need to add "make biscuits" to list todayGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Lost a post - grr - told me it was too short - hardly likely
Banks and cc squeaky but ok, money used for tunnels etc - therefore I can't complain too much I guess - cover ready to pick up and wood will help get it sorted.
Worried about trip south in early nov (concert pressie for all three for birthdays here) - might try ebay more bits - listed houseplants but nothing sold. Will try a different price
Also got a few bits to look out - and I've a 'radley' handbag mirror which I was given to do something with, might ebay that too.
I need a cunning plan I think, the trip will be £200-300 which at the moment I don't have. Hmmmm not really bad planning, (honest) more a lack of money and a treat to be provided for the chaps.
Also got money coming back from a night out - a pressie for the girl - that will be £40 back that I've spent.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Thanks Pippi
Okay plan for you:
so you need £200-300 by early Nov? What is this for??
Does that include everything - travel, accommodation, concert tickets, food etc??
Can you get anything a bit cheaper??
How much are you short?? the whole lot? half?
Any money coming your way?? Pay, quidco, ebay etc?
Radley bag should do well on ebay I should think. Especially coming up to Christmas now. Any plants that should be planted now/soon that you could sell? Any Christmassy type plants for the house?
This is just as a prompt for you. I'm not expecting you to answer them on here.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Squeak squeak Pip, that does sound tight to have a squeaky bank and need lots of moolah for the gig trip. Gulp. Starnac's put up some good plans, hope you'll get there with pounds rather than pennies to spare
I now somehow only have £56 left til the end of the month and a tank of petrol will take care of thatI do have an emergency £100 but I really don't want to take that out of my savings for our holiday to Italy next year as it's going to be squeaky to pay back the interest-free credit cards (flights and car hire) by the time they're due as it is.....
OH and I are going to see a band down in Brighton tonight, very exciting, I've not been out like this in centuriesMy friend who was coming to babysit is ill so I've been very lucky in that another friend has offered to have DD over for a sleepover - they'll have 4 kids to get to bed!! Gulp. I'm very grateful to have such good friends

Birthday prezie for the family a concert in Ggw (7-8 hr drive from other side of the ferry:eek:) - txt bought, travel to do which is what I've to pay for, free accomodation at Mr F in Fife..................they got it as a treat as they miss out on so much here
Does that include everything - travel, accommodation, concert tickets, food etc??
I'm hoping it will cover everything - the actual travel will be about £200 to OH and back - he's dealing with the other bit down there.
Can you get anything a bit cheaper??
(looking at train etc if possible save the cost of the car on the ferry, but its not looking good tbh)
How much are you short?? the whole lot? half?
(at the moment I'm not sure, probably about half to 2/3 is what I need to find, didn't get paid this month from teaching as I hadn't finished this terms hours in time to put in for this months pay - will get that back next month.......)
Any money coming your way?? Pay, quidco, ebay etc?
Not a sausage - need work on ebay I think and maybe amazon. Bit garden work to be paid for (£30) and a bit of money coming back from the pressie at work
Radley bag (mirror, not a bag! I wish) should do well on ebay I should think. Especially coming up to Christmas now. Any plants that should be planted now/soon that you could sell? Any Christmassy type plants for the house?
Nowt chirstmassy - but I do have house plants - I'll relist them
This is just as a prompt for you. I'm not expecting you to answer them on here.
I'm happy to brain dump and answer on here - makes me think and thats good - now I'm thinking redo ebay, look through dvds and books relist on amazon.
