Hope you're enjoying your week off Pippi! :j : :j Yay to crepes for breakfast! :j :j :j and :rotfl: at sniggering boys :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :D

We were at the city farm yesterday! But I think Red's farm is somewhere else, they're actually *working* on theirs, whereas we were just admiring the chickens and visiting the tea shop :p :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yep ours is just outside the city... we own a little share in it and go and volunteer once a month, yesterday we dug up the last potatoes, raked up lots of long grass and Mr S did some manly wood chopping :rotfl: It's the first year so there isn't loads happening yet apart from lots and lots of potatoes (they sell some at farmers markets and the volunteers get the rejects!)

    Press that button! :D

    eh 'oop :hello:

How's tricks? Sounds busy for holibobs, can't believe half term is coming around already! I finally got round to potting up my basil the other day, then promptly left him out in the first frost of the year, doh!! Although he doesn't look too sickly on it, and is in now... so we shall see. Been doing a fair bit of clearing in the garden at my ma's... probably should get out and cut the grass but have de-fleaing to do in the house. All fun and games round here!

How comes you ate no crepes?

yay to free (albeit reject) potatoes red

Crepes for breakfast yum. We had waffles here with "gold" on them (golden syrup) for lunch I think i wil have a jacket potato and for tea I'm not really sure.

Need to have a sit down tonight with DH and do a menu planner to write a shopping list off.

Glad you are having a quiet week and *rolls eyes* at sniggering boys although I have a 4yo here that finds poo and anything related very funny too!!

  • Hey up all thanks for the push

The button has been pressed and I called the other lady and confirmed I've applied - I'll have to step off the board at the AGM later this month if I'm successful :)

....... the guy is on leave til the weekend when the closing date is - so we'll hear - if I get it then ace, if I don't then something will turn up and life will be dandy either way - but a guaranteed £12k a year for half a weeks work would be nice. :) very nice.

They there starnac - gold sounds lovely! Good for you having a meal pow wow! I hope you're resting

I'm trying to catch up on all that stuff that never gets done.

Lotti glad the basil is OK - crepes - hmm I'm not a fan of most baking - I love to bake though thankfully everyone else likes it. Half term eh, its come around fast.

Red - that soundsfun and yummy - love tatties.

Cheery - sniggering here is generally the order of the day :)

Mince out for tea - proably mince and dumplings and tatties and cabbage

Also got the elderberry in a stocking (oh la la) and drained 1 1/2 pints liquid so far - lumped that back in a pot with sugar now its a cooking again. Can't decide on a nice 'winter cordial' or more jelly (dd loves it) we'll see.

Now what was next on that list.........................................:) I can cross off a couple now :)

hey up uni - glad you're back hope you had fun!

I've done 4000 posts, but been thanked in 4154 posts... spooky! Am I being thanked in other people's posts??! How does that work?? Pippi, yours is the same! You've done 9864 posts, and been thanked ( 68,077 times!  :T :T :T) in 10,854 posts.... weird....
  • I'm not sure when I'll hear cheery - but the contract is due to start early Dec - with a hand over period (hopefully) before that in mid Nov - so we'll see if and when - I'm hoping soon, the closing date is on Friday.

I dunno how the posts works - I think many folk can thank you therefore you can get more thanks than posts!

Made a chicken soup broth with chunky veg (previously bendy veg) for lunch - thats that taken care of then :)
