Someone from the pub I used to frequent was described as "having a face like a bulldog licking pi$$ off a stinging nettle". Always said with some affection though."Green pastures are before me,

I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0 -
Thank you everyone for your very kind comments
You are right, it is the right decision to give up the allotment, and one I won't have any regrets about (because it was thought through thoroughly). Our priorities have changed, and something had to give, but it'll be worth it in the end.
Hope everyone has a great day. Autumnal sunshine here currently, and still (makes a change from the last few 'breezy' days).

Morning all
I've always been told I'm scowling when I'm concentrating - so I look scary alot - lol
Calm here and cold, misty autumnal day
Banks to check, emails to do - and a few other bits
Class to prep for printed out everything yesterday - doing a couple things I did last year so if I remember it all, might be OK (roots, beets and then onions/garlic etc and if we still have time, herbs and if we've even more time, lettuce) phew. I like to have extra incase I charge through things - then two weeks off (woo hoo) for the oct holidays I had a talk to cheery - I so need a bit of time off - and she told me why don't you take some - doh! I might take next week off - I've already told the cafe person I'm off for at least next week so I don't have to do that either.
Right off to toddle around my bank account and then have a peek back here - cv drafted and printed to look at - letter to write for the contract.
BAnk ok - one has £13 in it (woo hoo) the other enough for the DD's (£130) credit card showing the tunnel money off - which is grand means thats getting sorted. Not alot of money going about - but we'll not starve.
Picked up dd from cinema last night and raided reduced - netted 6p peppers, an advacado 15p, big bag brocolli 40p and the 10p noodles were buy one get one free (LOL) so we got a bit of them, a bit reduced bread ciabatta and posh, and 2 packs 50p flat breads too. Mr F got a dvd player (sony) for £9 so he's very happy!
Nowt happenning on ebay - need to rethink that one at this time of year I think.
Also need to do a wholesale order which will include bulbs/onions etc wish you all lived nearer I could order you all bits too. Fruit trees are £6.50 each...........alot of perennial plants too - which are 5 for the same price as one at the garden centre.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Pippi I'd like some strawberries if you have some spare pls. We grew mini ones this year and DD loved them. As soon as they turned red she ate them. None of them made it into the house so would love some proper sized ones. if you don't mindGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

how did the birthday girl love her birthday??????????????????????
she's loving it so far. she was up early and opened some of her presents. she's opening the rest this evening and has asked for a carpet picnic tea (birthday person gets to have any tea they like in our house)
did feel guilty sending her to school on her birthday thoughGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

I think you've to rest too and at school they'll spoil her too
THat way she will have a whole birthday fun day
strawbs you can tuck them in somewhere now and let them get through the winter - or I can coddle them for you and post them in the spring - when you can put them where you want them!
I'm glad she's having a great daycarpet picnics rock.
