Good luck LT, I'm hoping to put my house back on the market for the gazillionth time soonish, it's quite nerve-wracking, but hopefully will be good for you :)

Hope everyone had a fantabulous weekend, I did, cuddling a baby, cuddling OH, (no, the 2 are and will not be connected! if anything cuddling/babysitting the baby made me realise I'm not broody in the slightest, as lovely as she was...), friends over for scrummy lunch yesterday (even if I say so myself, lol).

Today - well, YS goodies in Waitro$e, very YS by their standards, so am planning something mushroomy and yum for tomorrow night's dinner (as tonight's is leftovers, nomnomnom). Hoping OH will be over tonight but if not, I can wait til tomorrow.....even though he was looking even more amazingly gorgeous yesterday than usual, and it was hard to have to share our time with the guests ;):) But they did bring chocolate, cake, wine, plants (sprouting broccoli and cabbages and lots of seeds and pots) and cute things for DD, so not all bad!

My spending's not going too badly....OH slipped me £5 the other day to break into for 50p for DD's pocket money, but it seems to have mainly gone on other stuff, so I'll be scrabbling down the back of the sofa or giving her an IOU til the weekend! I'm already over half way through my grocery budget for the month but just can't resist a bargain!! So, the purse will stay have to stay home tomorrow.....

It's so exciting looking out of the kitchen window and seeing the lovely little plants that will hopefully not get eaten by the ravenous slugs (any hints and tips on what REALLY works OS-stylee to keep them off my pride and joy?), but it also makes me realise that the rest of the garden won't do itself, so am going to rope DD in to at least help me with some weeding later if it's not raining/the moon is in Pluto etc etc...

BT are rubbish and expensive. It is Doris Day .......... Dont Eat the Daisies. Nothing to get overly excited about. Whenever I hear the word or see Daisies the song just runs around in my head. Your post made me giggle because I was thinking of eating the daisies with jam on them. OK, I am strange.

  • Boo to carp internet, so much for universal service.

All good news re bargains, dogs and plants though!

Very windy here today; washed my sheets and hung them out thinking the breeziness would dry them better - ended up having to retrieve one sheet from next door's trees, and the other one got ripped to shreds because of snagging on a rose bush over and over as it whipped back and forth . Now it has one huge rip and lots of little teeny ones, far too many to think of trying to mend them (especially if I want to go to bed any time soon :rotfl:) They are all close to one corner though so maybe I could cut that part off and re-hem a rounded sort of shape??
