I'm needing to flip myself out of this wierd place I'm in - in the land of doom. I'm stressing about everything and not getting away during the holidays in Oct - which is insane.

I don't know if the universe is about to end, therefore I'm not sure why I've the weight of the worlds doom on my head lately.

I need snap out of it - maybe its cos I've been ill? Or the betwixt betweeny bit makes me unsettled - that job will be advertised soon (allegedly)

Mind on its probably cos the house is a midden.:rotfl:

PAD to captain (£20) need another £100 for rent but I've got a week to figure that one

The universe coming to an end is about how I feel too, Pippi - yep, best see the wood before it gets sucked into a quantum black hole .... otoh, walking in a wood might enable the universe to carry on ... we'll see how it goes.

And then you and peedie get out and stomp through some leaves (and take a picture or two) - what fun! xxx

Is it an equinox related thing?

I think I always feel a bit like this at this time of year...................

I blame the moon for everything!

I need to really have a stomp and a word with myself.

Love the idea of woods being sucked into quantum black holes or a worm hole...................

I also love reading the new scientist - I think a subscription needs to be found - it makes me happy and think and works with my rather broken brain cos of long and snippy short articles

Hmm, wonder how I'll do that? Give up the posh lovely bread maybe?:rotfl:

Thats not a bad plan and if I do a blast of evil paperwork inbetween I might manage eh?

Today I hate my house, I don't hate the view, just the rooms which don't work - I want to be able to have a proper big kitchen

    Oh dear I'm in a real strop aren't I?

(by the way has everyone signed the petition to get MPs to debate about financial education in schools? Its ^^^^^^^^up there on the top bar - please do sign it :))

    Morning all,

Have take DS2 to college and walked the dog...a bit chilly this morning, but lovely with it. Nice and sunny here now, mist has almost all but cleared. this is what comes of living near two big rivers (Avon and Severn)...it can
sometimes be misty all day at this time of year.

I was going to clean the windows in the conservatory this morning, but DS1 is watching the rugby, so I might join him and get some ironing done instead ...it needs doing, so I may as well enjoy myself while doing it! Also sets me up for the day, having felt I have actually achieved something!

Perhaps this feeling of doom and gloom has something to do with a satellite due to come crashing back to earth today...so chicken-licken did get it right after all!!! :rotfl:

I must admit this is often the time I start with depression/SAD, so I am determined to try and counteract it this year. I have a day-light, light box, which I must root out and get a dose of it every day, in addition to getting out in the garden and whipping it into shape. Mind you, it will be more a case of digging/weeding/pruning it into shape!

Have a lovelty equinox-y day today xx

Morning Pippi, a walk in the woods with you Peedie and Moo sounds grand. We are just back from our little woods where the stream trickles. I like it there because it is peaceful but it always dark and shady. I am another one who struggles with the winter time coming. It was my ex MIL now best friend who pointed out the pattern to me. I always get ill or down at this time of year. I am also another one who blames the moon for everything.

I am feeling really bleurgh today. Have a deadline to meet by Monday and not started on it. Have a VIP meeting this afternoon and I CBA, methinks the walk in the woods is a grand idea.

  • KeissI hope you have a nice day - busy busy - chicken licken - made me giggle

MrsM - I've missed a big deadline this week already - I'm kicking myself and need to do a real effort at it today - walk together be grand, our wood a bit peedie, but I walk round it a couple times :)

I'm the same as you two with the light etc - I use to (eek) go on a sun bed over the winter, only once or twice a month, but it really helped, maybe a uv lamp might be a good idea to stave off the sad?

((((((((((Pippi)))))))))) sorry to hear you are feeling down. Maybe a few short bursts of tidying is what you need to sort the house into a state where you feel a bit better about it. (Loving the irony here as I'm feeling carp about our house at the mo too. Maybe I need to take my own advice!!!)

Is Mr F still there?? can you reward yourself with a nice walk just the 2 of you or a cuddle on the settee or something once X is done??

Ps Yes I have signed the petition and posted the link on my FB page too. It's creeping up to 100000 slowly though
