Morning everyone!
Hope you're still having a relaxing weekend Pippi, you've earned it!
Sun was shining here but now a big fluffy grey sheet seems to have been drawn over the sky, maybe I won't rush out into the garden after all.0 -
Still shining down here .... I've definitely got to get out into the garden today ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Troglodyte, what you got planned for the day? I hope the big grey blanket goes away.
Kc glad you've got sunshine, our weather is mixed patchy sunshine, misty grey and blue sky.
No real plans for today. Need do a meal plan for the week and look into the fridge with a careful eye.
Walk somewhere.......lemsip first, got a sniffle to stave off.

Today meals
Brekkie - anything you want as long as you get it yourself sunday's having been going in this house since 1999 -
DD = pasta and hm pesto - still OK two weeks after making it woo hoo, afters pineapple fresh chopped up
Ds = toast and who knows for second course he's muttering about curry
Mr F = pineapple and cornflakes for afters
Me = mushrooms on toast and a hot chocolate
Lunch - left over HM to beat the takeaway curry - just made more rice
Tea - frog in a bog with sausages
Ram raided fridge sorted out veggies and made a kilner jar sized pasta sauce for dd to have in fridge from anohter pickings of the tomatoes and the basil with a sachet of sugar from a well known coffee establishment we obviously took a stash from.
Hokey cokey to do, moved the washing line when bro here - need to tie it up again
Dishwasher of delight emptied twice already lol
Trying to reduce the amount of plastic film/tin foil we use - part environmental, part budget, part 'slimming my bin'
Been covering big dishes with plates - think my grannie use to do that?
Been putting anything opened up into jars with lids and hten in the fridge (eg prawns, bacon, cheese etc) - seems to work fine and as they aren't in tubs I can't see I actually use them up.Previously I'd have put them into a recycled bread bag or recovered with clingfilm/foil.

Quite right too!
Tea - frog in a bog with sausages
**What** is that :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I do that
Been putting anything opened up into jars with lids and hten in the fridge (eg prawns, bacon, cheese etc) - seems to work fine and as they aren't in tubs I can't see I actually use them up.Previously I'd have put them into a recycled bread bag or recovered with clingfilm/foil.I often put two sets of leftovers together, if they more or less go together - leftover pasta with 2nd portion of veg I cooked, that sort of thing. I put them in glass casserole dishes quite often, in the fridge - I had a lovely smoked glass one already, and bought a cheap set from Wilko, so I have four now, and they all have lids :j so I put them in the fridge like that, and 2 mins in the microwave, and they're ready to eat - but they'd go into your oven like that, for sure. Saves on washing up too (as a singleton, since they're pretty, I eat from them - don't tell anyone).

KC thats great idea with the leftovers and reducing the washing up
Frog in a bog = toad in the holemy pal used it once and we loved it so much we borrowed it.
Clear dishes are handy aren't they - at the recycled womble place they had 4-5 pyrex dishes with lids not clear but handy - I might see if they are there next week
Re strung the washing line - new pole is shorter than the others due to being cut off at bottom to move it - but its perfectly functional.
8 eggs today - good greif the gals are working hard still!
I'm pondering changing the way I think about my money cc etc - I looked at the new statement and its not much changed from last month got a bit disheartened (but I put everything on the cards then pay as much cash as I can to them) however, I noticed the paid in total/paid out total - paid in £806 last month, paid out £630 so its heading in the right direction - off to look at the other card too, hope that tells a similar tale..................
ETA - other cc - paid in £458.78, paid out £335.01
OK, think I'll change the way I account for them - I do alot of pad and need to keep that up - might change my sig to keep my pad updated on thereTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Ay up Pippi and  to everyone else.
Just back from 'adventurising' in far off distant parts. Had a great time, but had booked to go camping way in advance of hurricane remnants visiting these 'ere shores  Thankfully, and purely co-incidently, the campsite was very sheltered, otherwise we'd of been on a fly-drive (of your own tent variety) of northern regions of t'north pole! Up side was fantastic wave watching opportunities at a couple of favourite spots.
Hope all is well. Off to catch up with the blog now I've caught up with the diaries. Actually, I'm just trying to put off doing the laundry, who am I trying to kid??? :rotfl:
Have a great day all.
