Oooh, pippi, that sounds exciting! :j :j :j tell us more about what happened with womble job! :T Will they be advertising it, or will they just give it directly to you??
And hoops! Brilliant news! :T :T0 -
Good luck with the womble job Pippi....and well dolne on getting some hoops up :T:T:T Sounds like it's a bit breezy up your way though!
((((((Hugs)))))) to you KK, hope you can get something off your ex.
Was up bright and early(ish) this morning to watch Scotland's second match...ironed while they beat Georgia...the pile has almost dissapeared, only a couple of duvet covers left :j. Mind you, I did three loads of washing today, so the pile will be added to tomorrow.
Spent most of the rest of the day sewing and after congratulating myself that I had actually finished the bag for my niece, I realised I had put the handles on wrong!!:mad:
I will sort it out tomorrow, as I was out at my quilting group this evening and I did some reverse applique for the first time. Rather pleased with myself, it looks quite good.
Now off to bed as quite tired, night, night all.

Morning all
Cheery I don't know yet - it might be advertised internally or just online - they know they have a candidate - but want (as a charity) to do the right thing. I'm happy if they advertise it as long as they don't waste any money. My sustainable development degree (professional womble qualification don't you know and there are only 4 of us with that degree here - all the others have jobs, phew!) that study covered most of the waste management issues and the other side of the job is promotion of things like love food hate waste, peat free, home composting - so between mse and my other gardeny qualifications I've those covered too. It would be a good fit for both of us, but we'll see as my grannie would say 'whats for you won't go passed you'...........:)
Keiss argh to the bag handles and well done on the applique -sounds very productive!
Right bank to check, coffee to drink then polytunnel thursday commences
I hope we can/might finish today or certainly get it well on.
Hello to all, sorry if I'm not saying hello to each of you properly atm, I'll catch up properly in a blink - bit distracted by windy days and tunnels, but very lovely that you've popped inTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

I'm sure none of us mind a cheery communal wave as you stride past in your wellies pippi! :T :T Sounds like you are indeed perfect for the job0

Hello everybody!
Well I did manage my bike ride yesterday (just to do regular chores - 5 miles each way) and felt much better for it! Must try and fit it in every day when I don't have big heavy sacks etc to carry!
Also made some juice yesterday. A friend popped in after school and brought pears, so we pressed the soft ones (some aquaintances have lent me their expensive fruit press!) as well as a bowl-full of apples and got 4 bottles (about a litre each) of juice - two of pear, one apple and one apple-and-pear - and since the apples produce pink juice we now have yellow, pink or pinkish-yellow juice to choose from! All very tasty and now I'm full of enthusiasm to do it again, so on the lookout for free fruit!
By the way Pippi just read this post on another thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=46917483&postcount=6618
and it made me wonder - what is hotspot tape? Is that another thing you need to get for the tunnel?0 -
Hey up both of you!
Cheery I hope you're good today - I'm hopeful for the job but not holding breath until they fathom what on earth they'll do - often a problem when working with a 'committee'
Trog - thank you - I do have that tape on my list, its a kind of insulating foam thing that goes over the tube frame to stop the sun heating up the tubes too much and making the polythene heat up.Juice sounds gorgeous - and well done on the bike ride
chores or not thats impressive!
Bank checked - pay in £326 (invigilating, rates gone down alot!) - thinking which card to put that to......................can't have money in the bank for too long, the bank manager will die of shock.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Hi Pippi! Yep, a communal wave, don't worry about detailed replies to everyone, life's too short. I love the way that people who don't have their own diaries post their updates on yours, it keeps us all in touch with lots of people2023: the year I get to buy a car0
