Morning.. good luck with the ebaying
Kittikins, I watched the Meals of Wheels prog too, very moving, such a big thing getting decent food and company.. kept thinking how good it would be if they could get local supermarkets involved to donate the food that was close to being chucked out (but perfectly OK to eat), use the kitchens as a training ground for young people, apprenticeships etc... a real whole community thing.

Maybe that's your next job Squizz!
((((KK))))))))))) pippi and everyone is right, get on the case!
(and as for you Pippi - EBAY! :T :T)0 -
I did Meals On Wheels when I was a teenager as part of the Duke of Edinburgh's scheme, accompanying a driver to deliver the meals. My grandparents lived in our house, so I knew *old* people, but the squalor that some of the visits showed me was horrifying.... Meals on Wheels is one of the great unsung stories of our time ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0

My nan used to take meals on wheels to the 'old folk' into her 70s
She's stopped now sadly. Tis indeed a great unsung story!

There was an amazing lady on there last night who was 100 and had volunteered until she was 95!
Next job, hmmm.. I'd definitely rather be involved in something like that...Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Thank you for the advice and help everyone - I had a look at the CSA website and it all looked a bit scary and possibly worth less than the pittance he does pay. Luckily I do work, so don't have to worry about benefits issues, but his money is factored in to my budget (ha ha, what a funny word, it's that thing I obsess about then conveniently forget when I want to, and start 'borrowing' from next month's salary
).
I think I'm going to text him and be polite, I remember him saying aeons ago that he gets paid on a 4-weekly basis, so the date is reasonably flexible, but the 14th is the latest I've had to put up with....I can't even say that he would have to pay his creditors on time, as he was always useless with money and 'forgetting' to pay people etc even when we were together
Ho hum. Anyway, the sun is shining down here in Kittikins land and after feeling a bit mopey last night/first thing this morning, I've pulled myself together and am going to have a lovely day
Just back from my second volunteer lesson of the week in the lovely school I help at, yay, love the kids and feel I'm learning a lot about teaching, class management etc. Going to have a cuppa with a friend later whilst the kids play and then OH is over for a sleepover0
