You are a superstar greenval, hope the bird has a lovely long time thanks to your help :)

Hello all, I'm back from the land of hangover, pretending to do gardening, drinking too much wine etc etc over the weekend!! My friend has done wonders and is probably very achy today after all her hard work and I have a long to do list before she comes back at the end of the month :)

Moneywise I did manage a NSD the other day but have been spending a bit since then on carbs to cope with the hangover, diet coke (ditto) and fresh fruit and veg......I must tot up my receipts and work out where the heck I am financially!!

Whilst hunting through the fridge for something to snaffle last night, I came across some mushrooms that needed using up asap, so quickly knocked up a mushroomy, tomatoey, kidney beany stew thing that we'll have with pasta tonight. Nomnom. I'm trying to counter DD's annoyingly naughty behaviour recently by surmising that she's overtired rather than a brat and so am attempting to get dinner on the table about half an hour earlier so that bed-time will hopefully be less fraught! Wish me luck.....

Well done on saving that baby bird GV, good on you!! :T

Glad your bro made it up to see you Pippi...though I wonder when he will be able to leave :rotfl:. Hope you can get a good few posts concreted in today ...how exciting! :j

Windy, yet warm and sunny here today, been busy in the conservatory doing "paid work" this morning, so my brain is hurting!!! Been researching how to set up an eBay shop for my new boss (so selling material and other sewing stuff). Anyone have any helpful hints? There is so much information on eBay, I find myself getting lost and going down blind alleys! Need to pin boss down with exactly how much material she wants to try and sell, how long for and how much....a face-to-face is required, and soon methinks!!! I have emailed her to try and sort out a time to meet later on this week.

This afternoon I will get on with my sewing. Everything got cut out yesterday and I have attached the iron-interfacing, so today I can get the machine out :j:j:j. I haven't done any sewing for about 3 weeks and I have been getting a bit fidgety, as I have loads of plans to made lots of things! I am back in the conservatory sewing, but look forward to taking over DS1's room once he has gone back to uni...only 2 weeks to go now! Not that I am desperate for my son to leave...I just want his room.
:rotfl: Then I won't be spending half my time taking everything out, then putting it away again :o

Right, off to have a belated lunch.

Have a lovely, but no doubt breezy afternoon everyone.

No wind, really NONE, the midges were horrific.

Not fun work, not with midges.

    Hugs chaps.

Plenty of blustery wind here tonight, & a full moon too - lovely :)

No midges though thankfully ... just one fly which even the cat hasn't managed to catch yet :(
  • Very stormy here. Hope everyone's ok. Night night everyone.
