Afternoon all, been clearing out various bits from the conservatory so that DH can start putting the new flooring down. Also cleaned the last of the painty brushes...so no more white spirit fumes to give me a headache. :j

Done some ironing, clothhes aswell as some material which I should be cutting some pieces to make a bag this afternoon...instead I am here on the 'puter...silly me! So only a quick vist then :o!

Glad you will miss the worst of the bad weather, but as you say, others will be getting it instead :(. Here's hoping there isn't too much damage done.

Right, off to get some material cut, then unearth the sewing machine...funny how I don't seem to have much enthusiasm for sewing atm...really need to get my finger out.

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone x

    Thanks Lula.

I'm hereby declaring Sunday over, and Sunday 2 beginning :D

Starting Sunday 2 with a nice cup of tea and a mooch about the internet. Strangely enough, that's very similar to the way I started the first Sunday :rotfl: This one is NOT going to involve the car, or a DIy shop, or a fence (or even a lack-of-fence, which is what Sunday 1 involved... :rotfl:)

Ok, so Sunday 2 is looking remarkably similar to Sunday 1 so far :rotfl: same tea and toast 'breakfast', same mooching about the internet, same squeeeeeeky-braked car, same trip to B&Q (yes, twice in one day - although slight improvement in that I did actually buy a fence this time), same grumpiness... :rotfl:

So, I'm home again, B&Q shuts in 10 minutes so I don't have time to go bck a third time even if I wanted to, and I now actually have a fence, so I'm thinking it's about time to start Sunday 3?!

    Pretty much! :rotfl:

Someone once said to me that a day is just 24 hours - if you're having a bad one, you can choose to start the next 24 hours any time you like :)

I've started 3 times today, seem to be on a better roll third time round :rotfl: Didn't want to advance us into Monday tooooo quickly though! :rotfl:

  • Commiserations, Cheery! Going to B & Q twice in a day is above and beyond the call of duty.

I went yesterday (DH chickened out at the last moment, choosing to go to the new, sanitized, hi-tech, still smelling the same, 'Waste Transfer Station' instead.

The staff were lovely and assured me that they had long handled trowels in last year but . . . . not now. I rejected a substitute which was not what I wanted and was £30.00.:eek:

Got what I wanted for £8.99 from Amazon :money: - when will I learn to look there first?
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?
