Goodness! I hope all is well, Pippi. *lobs a bath towel over the fence*
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?
  • Hey up lasses!

Um well charged around garden after cheerys went for ferry and put everything I could in byres, tried coax hens indoors, no hope...

Cheerys returned, all ferries today cancelled......poor chaps (our gain)

Hope you are all well, sorry not been on, charging about having cheerful adventures until the storms arrived.

Thanks for the towel Triciaxx - I'll post it back, safer! 50mph winds gusting away, ellidee right, garden flooded, etc, catch up now xx

We've blankets out, knitting (cheery) and watching good life to cheer us up.

    :-)

Hope we are all tucked up away from the bad weather. I'm hoping to get another couple of rows of the rug kit done later, I'm probably more than 3/4 of the way there now.
LT and any other cake bakers , the good thing about this recipe, apart from not having to faff about weighing stuff is you can 'adjust' the quantities if you know you are putting very sweet or runny stuff in . It's one of those cakes that is never going to appear on 'The Great British bake off ' but is easy to knock up.
Also, I have frozen them and they have kept and defrosted well and last winter whilst freezing cold and in need of stodge I heated a large piece of the Black Cherry one in the microwave and had it with custard. It sticks to your ribs as my Mum would put it!

Oh dear, to flooded garden and the soggy chooks Pippi!:eek:

Did wonder when the cheerys were planning on leaving...yet another "problem" with living on islands. :o:o

This weather is not doing me any favours in persuading DH to move to Orkney...he is beginning to waver methinks :(...but I will persevere :D:D:D:D!

So wrap up warm and enjoy your extra day with your visitors. I wonder how the ferries will cope with all the passengers doubled up!!

Just looked at the MET forecast for O&S and it looks like the wind should calm down by tomorrow afternoon, the sea will still have quite a swell on, so a choppy crossing
    :o!
