Pippi, you have done a wonderful job as a mum to your kids. Both kids made mature decisions on their own and had enough confidence to voice them. i hope my kids are able to do the same when they are older. (although DD already LOVES voicing her opinions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
this may be the time to start thinking more about yourself and what you want to do etc. while the kids are still at home you can all support each other.

Evening, well done Pippi for standing up to evil ex supervisor. That told him. Sometimes people just need reminding to treat others with respect (sad but true).
May be following your lead if things around my place dont improve. I am so over being spoken to like a 5 year old by a group of 20somethings.
Your DD is quite sweet in broaching the fact that you need to look after yourself (that is what she was saying I reckon) instead of worrying about them all of the time. It must be even harder as a single parent to allow them to spread their wings a bit more without wanting to catch them all the time. After all, there has only been you to put all of that effort in so to suddenly see them soaring must make you feel a bit redundant. Maybe that is a way to look at it. You have been made part time from your full time job in effect and need to find something to fill the time with.
You will get there, you already have enough ideas brewing. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -

Hi Unix.. I find Blogger pretty good for blogging. If you want to sell things though I'd probably go for Etsy and/ or eBay and use the blog as a separate promotional tool... maybe a 'shop' Twitter account as well? I think FB is good for giving updates on your stuff but not ideal as a shopfront.
Hope it's a good day today Pippi.. kiwi marmalade does sound good, yum.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

There's two main kiwi marmalade recipes I've found, Dragon - one is very easy, but uses a microwave, and the other is a faff and ... doesn't ...
if yours is easy and *doesn't* use a microwave, yes please!

Urm bear with me! .....
Kiwifruit Marmalade
Cooking time 1.25 to 1.5 hours, makes 2.25kg/5lb
Ingredients
2 large sweet oranges
1 large lemon
900 ml/1.5 pints water
900 g/2 lb kiwifruit pulp
1.35 lg/3 lb sugar
Halve the oranges and lemon and squeeze out the juice - put this on one side. Take out any pips and put them in a muslin bag. Shred the pulp and peel of the oranges and lemon very finely and soak in the water overnight with the bag of pips. Simmer gently until the citrus peel is absolutely tender. Halve the kiwifruits and scoop out the pulp, weigh this and dice it neatly, then add to the pan, together with any juice that may have flowed onto the chopping board. Add the orange and lemon juice and simmer gently for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the kiwifruit is very hot. Add the sugar and stir over a low heat until dissolved. Raise the heat and boil rapidly until setting point is reached. Allow the preserve to cool for a time in the pan, then stir to distribute the peel and pieces of kiwifruit and spoon into hot jars. Seal down.Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

KC - found this recipe for Kiwi marmalade, looks quick and easy!!
Done some more washing down in the conservatory this morning, having a break for a few minutes so thought I'd check up on folks here.
We eventually got some of the heavy rain yesterday afternoon and evening..DS2 was out walking the dog at it's worst. She dutifully followed him down the field, but when he said "home", she bolted for it, he had to run to catch her up :rotfl:
How did the meeting go last night Pippi (was it last night??), was your stand against the ex-supervisor appreciated? Hope it cleared the air for you.
Right, off to get more cleaning done.....this message has been really weird to type, the cursor keeps jumping all over the place  Not sure if it has been my laptop, or if there is a glitch on MSE.
Have a good day everyone xx
