OH's mother always sends us back with pasta i think she thinks you can't get it here. But i do like the long ones like spaghetti but which are really tubes and also the square long spaghetti.0 -

Morning all
Bit breezy here again, can't find the cow life for the rain!
VL the chooks are tethered by their feet (I'm joking) they are hiding in the byre
LT - hmm now that is pasta she's never seen, any idea where she gets it, when we went to italy with dd and ds on a pizza/pasta/ice-cream holiday, DD burst into tears in the supermarket in Lago, as she'd found pasta she'd never seen! We came out with her choice. THere is even a pasta calender in our house - which she brought back! The cows are beef cows - but thats quite a good idea -however, I think at 1000 each or so, the farmer might notice if one ends up in my garden! (not in the freezer before any of you make that comment, my freezer is pretty tame these days!) [I think]
Nice to see you sorry for the chittering, you've had alot to catch up on
Chev - thanks re frog eating (!) he was lovely - I'm just a daftie. Daddy money thus far NOT resolved, I've emailed him and will call over weekend thanks!

starnac - that is a good pressieOH and I swap silly food pressies at xmas, he gets a jar of pickled onions, every year, and they last the year normally. This year they might even be home made

Those are strong winds, Pippi! Love the idea of a milk cow landing on your property
Its pretty bad down here this morning so far - I want to head off to Eastbourne Air Show, but its *tipping* down so far, and on one day so far, they've cancelled the flying cos of the weather - lots of stalls, of course, so we'll see.
You're preparing the way for the cellist and gamer boy to come back, aren't younot long now!
2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning KC I am indeed clearning the decks or their return, as I go away to get them next weekend - I just fathomed that today and tomorrow are the only days to get their stuff back to normal from visitors etc being here. Talked to them this morning, busy in France, changeover day for the campsite - today me and Peedie figure its a good day to get on with indoor stuff - pasta cupboard is sorted and I need to go out later to sort more pasta and show my friends house as it has a viewing and she's at the county show. I don't go to the show anymore, reminds me too much of not farming anymore and that makes me sad, although I'd never expected it would.
Yuk to yuk weather, mine is horrible. Oh, dear I hope you get out later - sounds terrible with you!
The kids I've missed them, thats true, when they return I think I like the busy house and although we aren't all joined at the hip, its nice when we've a routine again.
Never figured me for an empty-nester - but previously like I said I always had the best more grown up adventures when they were gone, mind you before I didn't care if I had no money.
I liked the part on hypnos first post about things that you don't 'need' but you 'want' and building a few of them into my life.
The job I've talked about will be advertised soon and starts in December - it would really suit, its a proper paid job, half time, flexible working, except on a saturday when the site is open, that day is a fixed work day, I don't like workign at the weekends (hark at me, being a single parent w/king working is very difficult) however, I've talked to them, its 4 miles from the house, so we think we'll manage OK with that. They could even come with me, but I think both of them would value the 'independant' being at home time. But, I need a plan for any emergency etc - its still 10 minutes in the car if soemthing goes wrong at home.

:kisses3:Oh Pippi! Yes, you are - they can cope with a single day, I'm sure. There's very, very little that would need your presence immediately...
Is that the first post on Hypno's latest thread? I must re-read that .... it sounds like one of your "wants" is some level of farming, if you feel like that about the country show - you'll get there, you will. Its just about working towards it.

Morning pipster . Just started reading a book where the narrator is called 'peedie boy' by his grandad and I keep wondering where the dog has appeared from :rotfl:
Random post alert - I want some rhubarb. Longer term to grow, but right at this moment to eat. Don't know why but want it lightly stewed. Just thought I'd share the thoughtA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
