    Chilli Jam - never made but have bought it past - from Hazlephron Herbs in St Ives website worth a look at. It was deelish :)

    OK its made, can't say I exactly followed the recipe - will report progress later, and to think I'm meant to be a scientist.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    I always mess about with recipes that is the fun of cooking isnt it. Trouble with baking is that it does need to be more accurate. Maybe thats why I am better at savouries than sweets. My Mum was a fantastic pastry and baking chef but she could not cook an actual meal to save her life. I was 23 before I found out that roast potatoes werent just boiled potatoes deep fried in the chip pan!
    Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher

    Pippi, if i have my way and the fortunes look at me i may have a holiday job for you :)
    just seen a house with a lovely huge garden (well huge by my standards) which is very overgrown, and needs some workshops/sheds knocking down, i'm sure if you happened to be popping by to visit we'd have spare room for you to sleep in whilst you helped my tame our wilderness. Oh and i think there's even a raised bed which used to be a veggie plot from what i can see if that helps swing things. :)
