OOh, it really was playing dead then, greenval! I love it when animals do that, tho it must be very stressful for them, of course.

Pippi - thats a tough negotiation, he *knows* you wouldn't see them stuck, and he's not used to you standing firm, so its a bit rock and hard place. But it can change over time, and they're still only mid teens, so its worth doing for the future, absolutely.

And Ebay? Have you listed anything? Get going, missus!

Well done on setting out the costs to the prat Pippi...and getting money off him! :T

.......... we'll see if he pays up the right amount...........

Good deal with the tyres too. Have a good walk with Peedie, do you have a windy day today? Breezy but warm here. windy but cold here! brightened up though

Managed to get some weeding done this morning ...only a couple of hours, but I can hardly move my arms now!!! Cleared away the broad beans as they are all done now and weeded the bed. Left the roots to rot down and release their nitrogen. Not sure what to sow there...some lettuces perhaps and could I have a go with carrots do you think??

Carrots won't thank you for the nitrogen, you'll get more leaf than root with the bean nitrogen in there, (although you might be OK...? it won't be available yet)...hmmm I'd go for a leafy crop lettuce, kale, cabbage, spinach, etc maybe?

Got another couple of veg beds weeded and also weeded round the rasps, which are fruiting nicely. A bit surprised as they were cut back and moved earlier in the year. They are Autimn Bliss, so like their new home obviously.

    :T:T:T:T

Got DS2 to move out all the plants in the conservatory for their summer holiday outside. Hosed everything down...a few had whitefly, so hopefully this will get rid of them.

I was going to wash down all the conservatory windowsills before lunch, but arms sooo sore, so will leave them for later :D. Going to do some sewing this afternoon....got to get started making things to sell...as well as do a couple of projects for my quilting group.

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone.

Glad you've settled in fine Keiss!

Greenval - lol to the frog, seriously lovely to see you posting again, I locked myself out of mse once too, emailed admin and they told me if I tried with the 'right' password, I'd maybe get in quicker :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Lu and the lovely gang on here - thank you for my moaning!

    or in my case

you put the washing in the basket
and leave it for a month
    more goes in
    some comes out
and has to be shaken about

    (do the hokey cokey etc)

    then
    you put the washing in
    you leave the washing in
    wash again
    leave again
    wash again

    (hokey cokey etc)

    then
    you put the washing in
    you hang the washing up
some of it falls off the airer
some of it doesn't dry quickly enough
and goes back in the basket

    (hokey cokey etc)

    then
    you think the basket's empty
(apart from those white things and the duvet cover that you never get round to washing)
then you realise OH has stuck in
a big pile of CLEAN clothes that you FOLDED the other still in the pile
and now they need washing too

    (hokey cokey etc)

    you give OH a slap
and take the folded clothes out
    they smell a bit
    and are a bit rumbled
but they're all his so you don't care

    (hokey cokey etc)

    then
    you put the washing in
or at least you think about putting the washing in
then you realise you can't be ar*ed
and your clothes don't smell that bad anyway
and go and do something more interesting instead

    (hokey cokey etc)

    Or is that just me??

    :D :rotfl:
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    ARE YOU ME??

sorry just catching up will be back later

Keiss, Keiss, Keiss.... if you don't like ironing, don't do it! Return your ironing board to cupboard of doom and skip merrily off into the crumpled day. I'll hazard a guess people will stop mentioining any crumpleyness if you tell them you'll happily take your clothes off for them to iron for you there and then! :rotfl::rotfl:

Uhm, Pippi, I found you :D. Cheri's wee place looks just beautiful and I've realised I remember just enough school-girl German to not quite get the jist!

But I haven't quite got a clue what's going on yet. Though I think you need to watch for those snakes doing the hokey cokey in the laundry basket. No wonder there's so many holey socks!

I shall probably be reading your diary from both ends in an attmept to catch up. But I have a uni course that needs to be finished by 16th September! So shoo me off until after that date! :D
:j:j:j:jWilkommen Nic, Sehr Gut. Excited that you have popped over Pippi's lovely fence.

After all this time Squizz I should be use to it, been like this and worse for 12 years! Thanks for the hug!

Banks all fine, still have £5 in fat controller :)

An extra £200 in the other account, making that £231, lol, but that money will probably not stay, so it doesn't need spent.

We're rich, woo hoo £36 quid in our mitts :) - until tomorrow anyway. best not go on a spending spree eh?
Sorry still catching up, wanted to say SILLY DADDY. so what is the positive in this? There is always a positive. Will he pay for your ferry to go South to meet them and then for you all to come back? You could at least ask for that (would it be cheaper than the flights would have cost him.......... make a business case for him to pay for you to go South and Voila you have a mini break to visit somebody/someplace that you might not have had the chance to.
Will carry on catch up tomorrow probably, getting very tired now. (9 hour work day and 4 hour travel through heavy rain and high winds = tired)

    Poor you cheri.

Thank you for quoting those posts ;) hello to nic welcome, not much going on here different, just poverty but with more flowers :) welcome, oh and there are a lot of stripey socks too. :)

You're right there, something positive will come out of it - I might see a few pals!

Thank you x and it's the cost of the ferry that We are wrangling about at the moment. A quick dash there and back from here is 275-335 depending on the route, only ferry fares/petrol, no food etc, 200 he's put into bank is helpful, but doesn't even cover the travel.

    OK Money stuff

capital one = Captain 'Orrible (thanks guys) 1779.46/2100 (limit) - but tyres just went on there (another £90)
Lloyds cc = Lucifer 932/1000 (Limit)

RBs bank=fat controller (but not very fat) payment in yay, today £219 left of OD,
£113 DD to come out on 15th, then nothing out of there - so 115 available of OD in there - might put some to cc, but need check whats going on elsewhere - hope to make a pad to both cards or just the Captain.

lloyds=smurfette today 263 left of OD, £60 phone to come out this wee, leaving £3 of mine and £200 from daddie for the great dash south, which I might need to pay back

OK going add cc to sig and that might help paying it - put grocery there too as I'm spending over my monthly budget (£200) it would appear having checked back on spending, which is likely as OH's here alot but then again, we can absolutley live under that much a month if we try, we've done it before - but that was before food increases, or is that an excuse - its gone up generally by quite alot............hasn't it?

Think about pad for cc later

    Paid work 6 hr
    eggypeddy to drop off (£1)

ETA - paid £100 to the Captain from Fat controller - figured the money is better on there than in the bank.
Which leaves 119 in that account with DD's of £113 to come out on 15th, leaving £6 in account but no more money in there until 18th, should be OK if I don't spend anything............!

Also thinking about putting the extra £200 striaght to Lucifer as all travel can go on the card, the money can help reduce the balance inbetween times for a bit? But mulling that one. Leaving 63 int hat account, with 60 phone bill to come out, OK so leaves £3 in account, maybe thats too tight? Not done anything yet though.
