holey socks are definitely cool on one's tootsies lol

I think i'm going to have to get ready for an ebay session as i think i'm going to sell some of my crafting supplies that i just don't think i'll use, mostly wooden stamps i'd guess.
  • Good idea LT - we'll keep each other company?

How you today, I'm frozen! The boats come up through the flow - thats NOT good, that means its too rough to go the other way. Its definitely november here, definitely.

Cheery the snakes are for the local charity (recycling) event at the local show to get the kidlets doing something fun with normal stuff you can just recycle - I've got a method of making snakes. and trying to make orkney voles out of socks and ravelled down wool

    Quite fun really!

And, its keeping me warm, its freezing here. Bah

hi Pippi, it's defintely cooler here than it was but then that's not a bad thing. It's dry and light outside at the moment which is good.

Heat, whats that, oh I remember we did on holiday :)

Nice warm bath, rhubarb infested pasta sauce now whizzed and tastes quite nice if I do say so myself

Random question - I normally freeze my pasta sauces in 1-2 portion sizes - its a faff in plastic tubs, as mostly the little ones don't have lids etc, can you freeze jars? Ie sauce in jars put into the freezer, I've a year and a bits worth of jars (with lids) I wonder if I can freeze the sauce into them, be much handier............If they are just defrosted normally would they be OK?

I feel an experiment coming on, but if anyone knows can you tell me :)

Mr Flower put £30 into account he owed me, yay!

ETA had a look, might just use bags, results are a bit mixed.............ponders more......

    Evening missus!

Freezer bags are a good idea as you can squish the sauce down flat and then lay them flat in the freezer and hey presto - not much space taken up!

I've read about people freezing jars - think there was something in my vegan course about it actually, will investigate... If I remember rightly it's fine, as long as you leave enough space for it to expand in the top, and let it defrost slowly rather than plunging into boiling water (or is it just me who never leaves enough time?! :p)

Will dig out all our holey socks (and maybe even some bits of wool too...)
  • Thank you both :) ended up with bags this time :)

Ey up sparkles - hope you and your pooch are fine.

Greying a couple of your bags have gone home with keiss :) and you can plant them one keiss :) good luck

More of silly long list done, yay, more cordial brewing, meadowsweet...........

I did wonder about making wild angelica cordial too.....? The flower heads smell awesome.

    Eggs and toast for tea.

Have lots of eggs to use up :)

Having looked at the carnage in my kitchen, I think I'm too scruffy for country living, lol!

Night all, bed time here :)

starnac I'm with you there, and got everything you said, he's really wanting to go, but we're trying a vocational week hands on for work expereince to get the other side - hows your bump doing?

keiss bummer for missing NL - what a shame, glad you're home safely and starting to get sorted, don't do too much after all that travelling and weeding! if only eggs would post, eh? Don't do too much!

Cheery - stripey socks are ace for making monkeys with - I'll put up a link another time, brilliant thank you :)

Red, country living and I are in love :) have been for a long time :)

KC my wriggling did indeed go well :) thank you sweetie

Gilligan - when you tell it like that, it don't really sound that funny and veggie food is very easy and quick isn't it? I like the mixture

We've 5 bunnies in the garden cheri - there is a father ted episode where the house gets overrun with bunnies - very funny

LT does your fine italian hubby have a recipe for gnocci?

Greying I've bookmarked those links, food for thought indeed - the long term plan is to do a tom and barbara (with me being both tom and barbara) - OH's happy to let me play and enjoy that way of life, but he doesn't want to indulge other than munching and telling me how cute the chickens look. As I'm not a great team player anyway, it will probably work well :)

I do fancy the idea of owning a highland cow
