Hi folks and a HUGE welcome to Horace, I feel very honoured to have you on board, especially with such a lovely post. It is nice to know that I am far from alone with my difficult neighbours. Just like Miss Crystal Meth, mine also shut up when they think plans are afoot, only to start kicking off again after a little time has passed.

Rosa Bernica - thanks to you too for joining in. Just like my last diary there seems to be a like minded group of us assembling here. A great sounding board for me - and Golly I need it at times!

I expect sw will be around soon telling us all about another hectic weekend - what a social butterfly.

It must be a back to work day - the sun is shining after a very nondescript weekend. Oh well, perhaps it will last into the evening when I go on my long walk with MrT.

Rafa won the tennis, despite a big blister on his foot.... :( It wasn't a pretty sight when the camera did a close up of the trainer attending to it. Andrew Castle quite rightly pointed out that tennis players do not have the prettiest of feet.... Anyway, Queens Club this week and then Wimbledon starts.... summer must be here.

Got all my jobs done yesterday except for washing the car as it had started to drizzle so that can wait until Thursday. I have got an electrician coming on Thursday morning to move the double socket that is 4 inches above my electric hob  great planning when they fitted the kitchen, huh? It is my toaster/ipod charger socket and in use daily so I shall be pleased when it is in a safer place.

MrT decided to guard the little patch of garden again where the cat killed the bird a couple of weeks ago. He growled at me when I told him to come away and so we have had words again. He was very food protective when I got him and can be rather difficult, to put it mildly, but I wont let him be top dog - he has a good home and a good owner and mustn't overstep the mark. Little monkey!

Time to get ready for work. Have a good day everyone, and remember the weekend is only 5 days away!

Eltee- Hello and welcome - we are from the same neck of the woods, I have only been in the North for a few years - born and bred in the South East. Have you got any Olympic tickets? It is all going on around you down there - lucky things!

No we haven't any tickets, didn't particularly want any!! Cheaper to watch on the telly :)

Paid plenty towards the cost through the council tax though. Bah!

been catching up - I hate noisy neighbours too. Mind you, I hate most things, think it's to do with a certain birthday coming up next year. Am training to be a Grumpy Old Woman, doing quite well at it too.

You are not grumpy. You are speaking your minds. I am learning to at last!!!

One of the reasons i go out so much is my friends invite me and I daren't say no sometimes I do enjoy it but know i could be doing house things and gardening instead. I have £50 to last me a month now luckily food, bills, essentials have all been paid. Now i will be able to say i have no money and will stay in or just go to a quick food shop. I get tired even going to the shops now I wish i was more assertive.

Ooooh I am going to say BAH HUMBUG for the sake of it!!!!:rotfl:

I think I would like to be cantankerous (sp?). Actually, I think I probably already am :D. That's cheered me up no end.

I am grumpy and proud of it:rotfl:

Oh grump the sun has come out..why does it do that at this time of day? why can't it come out in the morning instead of leaving the day grey and cold?

Another busy day for me today, I had to go to a meeting so I hopped on the bus instead of taking the car. I was given a goody bag after the meeting containing a pen shaped like a flower, a cream egg, a refreshers lolly, some post its and other stuff. I decided to visit a coffee shop that I was chatting to on Twitter yesterday - I wasn't disappointed because their coffee is real without additives nor do they serve syrups with it either. It is the first time in yonks that I have drunk coffee without sugar - bonus for me I got a free coffee too plus a voucher to use when I like for a BOGOF. Was it naughty of me to treat myself to a parma ham, sunblush tomato, rocket and pesto ciabatta followed by the most delicious carrot cake I have ever eaten? I like this coffee shop because they use local ingredients and even the cakes are made by a chap who was made redundant a couple of years' ago who happens to love baking. The beans are roasted in Bham too. It is great to go somewhere where they care and you are not treated like a leper because you go in there alone.

Mr Porsche Boxster was noisy last night, he kept slamming the front door - I must speak to him about that and about him putting general rubbish into the paper recycling bin. Thankfully the bonking students upstairs were exhausted so I couldn't hear any banging headboards or grunts that make them sound like warthogs on heat:eek:

Living in flats can be fun:D

    Hi everyone.....

I think I should count my blessings that Mr and Mrs Fatty don't appear to have conjugal relations (perish the thought!) at least I don't have to contend with "that" noise..... :o

    Moving on swiftly.....

I think I grew up a Grumpy Old Woman .... it is all to do with being selfish. If things don't go my way, then everyone gets to know about it. At least now I am old enought to warrant being grumpy sometimes.

Normal reaction at work regarding my overtime not being paid "Not my fault, payroll missed it off. It will be paid next month" Hey ho.
    Move on SA Move on.....

The sun is shining brightly and I did manage to take MrT out for a long walk tonight. He is now systematically terrorising all his toys, one by one. Strange dog!

As I type, Mrs Fatty has got her tumble dryer on full blast. We have a blue sky, blazing sun and she is tumbledrying  I didn't think it would last long after Mediator lady had a word and was assured that she washes and dries during the day..... yeah right, then it must be a ghost who was doing it Friday night until 10.40pm and then Sat and Sun evening. My patience is wearing thin...... and, how on Earth do they afford it?

I am not going to be here long tonight as I am starving hungry and need to get my vittels sorted out.... back tomorrow to catch up with you all. I also need to think up a cunning plan to make my pay stretch just that little bit further to cover the shortfall. There must be a way, and if there is, I will find it.... ;)

    Hugs
