Happy new diary. I also would find it difficult people back stabbing each other. I guess the thingto do is to engage in conversation enough to impart anything relevant and keep it at that?

John Wayne, famous American actor and film icon, once said, “Talk low, talk slow, and don’t say too much.”

People are strange creatures - you either fit in or you dont, I find. Never having been a Yes Man (or woman) I have experienced both. Where I have been happy, I have been gloriously happy. Where I have not, it has been very difficult.

Hello and welcome Chev - always nice to have you drop in...

Wordsmith - no news on the full time front as yet. I am not entirely sure that there is enough work in quiet times for the staff at the moment let alone increasing my hours. I haven't even got through the initial probation period yet - there appears to be a hiccup with the "non communication" and lack of team bonding - in a team of 2, 1 young male, 1 middle aged female - we are from different planets most of the time, bonding is a bit tricky!
As for working for the HA - they are too far away, it is OK for a day trip once in a while but not a daily commute. I wouldn't be qualified enough for them to be honest - there are some real high fliers in the job market these days.

Back to pleasantries - nice flowers bought. Slipdragons (?) like big stocks and very nice. I bought the beast a couple of pigs ears and bumped into a distant relative and had a bit of a natter and catch up in the sunshine, which was very nice albeit interrupted by MrT shouting at me to get a wiggle on.

The washing is done but not much else. MrT is moulting like crazy and there are white hairs everywhere. He may have to have a shower today which will not go down well, but at least he can dry outside like the washing. I wish I could peg him on the line for a while - give me a bit of peace and quiet... ;)

    Speak soon

Speaking of work, I find it really uncomfortable when colleagues call each other names and talk behind peoples backs which is something that tends to happen in my workplace.

We have a person like this at work. According to this person, everyone he/she talks about (which is pretty much everyone) is 'a nasty piece of work'. Ugh! he/she is the type of person who talks over you as well and disagrees with everything just to provoke an argument.

If I have the misfortune to converse with him/her, I usually just say 'hmmm' or 'arrrr' when he/she is going off on one.

I guess that makes me a nasty piece of work! Don't care.

Anyway, I 'lurk' forward to reading your diary :)

Hi Dojo - How good of you to post - I don't know about inspirational, it is more of look what I have co*ked up and do the opposite - that is about as inspiring as it gets.....

Eltee- Hello and welcome - we are from the same neck of the woods, I have only been in the North for a few years - born and bred in the South East. Have you got any Olympic tickets? It is all going on around you down there - lucky things!

hi startagain, only really been on to update my challenge with Jwil but noticed your new diary. Good to see you are still plodding on and keeping a diary. I need to sit down and catch up properly on your posts but I see you are still at the choccie place so that must be good :D.

We moved from the farm and OH bought a house back in town, its been hectic and traumatic but I think we are finally on the road to being settled. Horses have gone back into livery and contracted a horrible virus (not THE horrible one but very close) and beautiful little TB is very poorly. Both girls are currently on box rest and the gelding thank god is fine but puts any competing on hold as I cant see to him (he is out at the furtherest field) until the girls are given the all clear. Stressful times.

I am off to Sardinia with my mum on Sunday which should be a deserved break - she has been very ill and we are going to assist with post surgery care. Feel really bad leaving OH to nurse the neds but I am sure he will cope and at this stage there is not much we can do.

My JRT and wappy rescue cross breed are fine as are the chickens which luckily we have brought to town with us much to the amusement of the neighbour when one flew over the fence. Naughty chook! We have had to cut their wings - the reason we bought this house is because the garden is huge - why they feel the need to fly next door - who knows :D

Will drop in more often - take care x

Hi there LAM - long time, no hear.... you poor thing with so much going on. I remember when I used to keep my horses at a yard that was next door to a riding stable/dealing yard and they used to get lorry loads of horses in regularly from ireland and the amount of times that they bought strangles in was beyond crazy! We used to kick off all the time because it was a real horsey area and everybody was dreading it spreading - as it does, like wildfire.
I want to keep hens but I dont think my garden, council, or dog will approve somehow!
Have a lovely break, Sardinia is so pretty... lucky thing, look after Mum.
    Hugs

Hello, SW. I'm glad you asked that question - I wanted to but didn't want to be accused of being a stalker. Now I can only be accused of being a stalker's stalker.

I hope you enjoyed your meal.
