LOL I found it later. I couldn't remember where I'd posted it and a search on "dumpling" didn't find it because I never actually used the word dumpling in the post!

You lot are all darlings!!!!!
I can while-away on here while the dinner makes itself. I just knew you'd all come up with the answer.
Now does anyone know how to get the dumplings to make and jump into the pot themself?

Going to try to redeem you by getting sort of back on topic.
Does anyone else use the vegetarian suet? I find it is just as good and I even use it now when making a steak and kidney pudding or dumplings for a casserole rather than beef suet. As my daughter is vegetarian it is easier just to have the one kind in the house, no chance of mistakes that way and herby dumplings on top of a veggie casserole in the slow cooker are divine.0 -
I use vegetarian suet. No reason appart from I make a treacle suet pudding and the idea of it being made with beef suet doesn't seem right.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

I always use veg suet, in hope there might be less calories!!! mind you, i then go and eat 3 instead of 2 hmmmm!!!0
-
But isn't vege suet made with Hydrogenated fats (trans fats )which in turn are worse for your health than sat fats?
As we only use suet in dumplings and yorkshire puds we use beef suet as we won't have anything with trans fats in:eek:0 -
I will check the boxes, but you are prob right, might have to go back to the beef suet then, might have more cals, but not such bad fat!!! Thanks0
