Funny cat stories!

2 years ago my sister gifted me 2 kittens. Her cat had a litter and as I'd had cats before she thought it would cheer me up. Gizmo and Bob are certifiably mental.
They like christmas trees. The first christmas I couldn't figure out why my expensive, artifical tree had collapsed branches in the middle. I came home from work to find Bob wrapped around the middle of the tree, about half way up, fast asleep. Giz was at the bottom just looking confused.
They are also incredibly social and one more than one occaision I have watched them lead other cats through the cat door, to the food bowl and then onto the sofa for a sleep.0 -
The other day, one of my babies (Sebastian) was giving his 'man bits' a good ol' lick. As he was doing that, his extended foot tapped him on the back of his head.. he whipped round, mouth open and teeth blaring, ready to bite.. but of course, when he moved his head round, his foot also went with him! He did this a few times before giving up

Oh my gosh, don't even get me started on my cats and my christmas tree! It is a nightmare every year! :eek:0 -
My little "Tiggie Monse" (Tigger the monster cat!) was a stinky flea ridden little creature when I got him. I bathed him and he didn't seem to mind. Up until the day he died (ex left the cat flap open while I was at work, Tigger got run over!) I could never have a bath or shower in peace. He'd meow the house down if I closed the door. I love hot baths but because of him it used to have to be lukewarm so he didn't hurt himself. Even if I had a shower he'd be in there with me. He loved water. At the same time I got Tigger I got Jo-Jo who was his partner in crime. When they were very small I left a chicken on top of the fridge freezer to defrost. The fridge freezer was well over 6 ft tall so I thought it was safe but one of the cats managed to get up there during the night, knocked the chicken onto the floor and when I got up the next morning, I had 2 very full cats and just the carcass and legs of the chicken laid smack dab in the middle of the room. I'd have been angry if it wasn't so funny.
Maggie my very tiny little tabby (RIP Maggie) used to climb in bed with me every night. I'd read for a bit and Maggie would purr and make a fuss until I'd lift my legs up to make a tent with the duvet and she'd curl up under my legs and sleep until she felt my legs sagging because I was drifting off. She'd then migrate to the pillow next to me and still be there when I woke up in the morning.
Izzy, the gorgeous white fluffball we have now used to live next door, she moved in with us last year because the next door neighbour kicked her out when they got a puppy (you don't want to know what happened to the puppy) Gratefully, those neighbours moved out a few weeks ago. Well, the new neighbours have 2 dogs and Izzy loves sitting on their window ledge winding the dogs up. She'll walk backwards and forwards along it while the dogs are inside creating merry hell because there's a cat on their window ledge. She also sits on the roof of their car, which is an MG convertible with a black soft top roof. It's looking a bit grey now for all the white fur that's on it. Owners don't mind for some reason! She is regularly found under the beds of any neighbours who are silly enough to leave a window or door open for her to sneak through. I'm also still finding baubles from the christmas tree all over the living room, latest was last week hidden behind the computer tower.
I could print hundreds of stories that still make me smile but I'd be here all day and you'd get bored. :-)
Cats are awesome!Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)0 -

Mia falling in the bath. Mia disproving the thing about cats being so sensitive about their litter tray, she will use it anywhere in full view of anyone, her favourite time is while we are scooping the litter - if she needs to go, she'll go. She's even tried to get in the (covered) tray with Lila (who was not amused).
Oh my, trouble with toilets must be a "Mia" problem!
Mine loves to sit on top of the covered litter tray and try to swipe my other cat as he tries to either get in or out of it!
As soon as I take the lid off to clean it, they are ready and waiting to see who can be first in - both will happily hop in and "go" when I'm doing the finishing touches!twodogsandacat wrote: »One of mine plays fetch with lego tyres!
Mia also love to play fetch and we can spend a good hour with her bringing me the top bit that rips off a pouch of food, jumping onto the arm of the chair, dropping it, waiting for me to throw it, bringing it back, over and over again!Oh my gosh, don't even get me started on my cats and my christmas tree! I don't even bother to have one anymore!:(
My other cat, Archie, is VERY vocal - he yeowls all the time (food, in, out, cuddle, and for no reason at all).
He's managed to work out how to open the drawer where the cat nip is kept and I've come home to many a shredded packet, catnip flakes all over the place and a very happy cat!:)
He likes his comfort and usually ends up sleeping on my pillow behind my neck. The other favourite spot is on a fleecy blanket in the bottom of the shower tray (hot water pipes run underneath).
Although from this pic, how he had the cheek to pretend he was cold in front of an open fire .... I'll never know!
She adores the dog (as can be seen below) and rubs herself all over him when she comes in - it's as if she's just run into someone she's not seen for years (sometimes I eventually have to move her - he tolerates it but TBH couldn't care less):

Had to pop this in, just to show a slightly better pic of him....
and to show that he doesn't always pick what would seem to be the most obviously comfy spot to sleep in! Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Daisy has a small rubber ball & we often play football (she's the goalie!) in the hall, she'll catch the ball in her paws & roll around on the floor still holding it.Sometimes she drops it then ends up getting all tangled up in the mats while trying to get it back.
She's recently started to plop herself down on top of me in bed, around my chest with her back paws standing on the matress!lol Then she'll roll around on top of me if I dont make a fuss of her!0 -

My cat does this. She can be fast asleep, but as soon as I start cleaning her litter tray she comes running into the room and waits for me to finish. I'm sure she pushes something out just to annoy me even when she doesnt need the toilet :rotfl:
OH used to think it was hilarious. Now I am pregnant he does the litter tray and he tells her to get out the room when hes cleaning it out as she'll make it smell again :rotfl: she definitely knows what shes doing!
Love the pictures as well

My mum's cat will go up to the dog (sleeping quite happily in her bed) and climb in and move to get comfortable until the dog gets out then she happily lies down.
Their old cat used to nuzzle at your neck for ages - he used to put his paws either side of your neck and just nuzzle, like and suck your neck. He also used to knock on the door to come in - used to hang on with his claws and nudge the letter box so that it banged so he could come in.
He also used to sleep in the middle of the road and wouldn't move if a car came up (a private close) so you had to get out and move him.
He was famous for it, unfortunately some stupid neighbours used to drive over him and did this quite regularly (we didn't know this) until one day he moved and they ran over him and he died! Stupid lazy tw*ts!0 -
