Plan for this week (-8C this morning when I got up!!!!!)
- try and stop the water escaping out of the shower (we think its going through the grout and is fusing the lights downstairs. Have left shower door open to help dry the room out.
- do more tarot
- make card order tonight (completely forgot about it)
- pack Amazon order
- look out more stuff for the recycling centre
- clicks
- [STRIKE]buy new grout and silicone for shower[/STRIKE] (£20!!! and I'm annoyed with myself as it went on the credit card as did something else.... see below:mad:)
- do my nails for birthday night out
- load the shopping cards (I get a discount through work for buying gift cards for certain places, so it means I get 5% off my shopping if I remember to top it up)
- put last week's tarot money away for hair appointment
- venture into the freezer and see what there is! (SS not due to pay digs till 23rd which probably means it'll be 24th before I see it so need to eek out what I have as little or no money for anything else)
OH got £10 on lottery and has given it to me for fuel (I haven't taken fuel money off him the last few weeks as he paid for my exhaust to be fixed, unlike SS who is taking £20 a week off OH). Although OH did take £6 (I said he could but annoyed about it as it means its down to only £2 left!) out of my £2 fund for cigarettes.
OH also took me out yesterday to pick my birthday pressie, which is this week. My Gran has given me a card (not opened it yet), I think there's money in there. I've decided to treat myself with it to some night cream as my skin is really suffering at the moment.
Ok, the other thing that went on my credit card is 4 concert tickets. Now I could have left it till pay day but might not have been guaranteed the tickets. 2 are for the friend I mentioned with the borrowed DIY equipment. They are coming with us. OH is paying for our tickets (he's giving me the money when he gets paid this friday, he's been working odd hours so not a lot of money although I'm just happy he has a job), my friend has not mentioned at all about when they will be paying for their tickets. I did text her to say I'd bought them a few days ago but no reply yet. OH reckons I should wait and see whether they actually pay for them or not.
£2.98 coming to me from Quidco, I was hoping to use this to chip away at Egg/BC but this might not happen.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Ok, now I'm annoyed.... Amazon seem to think I owe them £8.89 from last year so all I'm getting paid for 2 books is £1.03!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Ok, progress on the list:-
- try and stop the water escaping out of the shower (we think its going through the grout and is fusing the lights downstairs. Have left shower door open to help dry the room out.
- do more tarot
- [STRIKE]make card order tonight (completely forgot about it)[/STRIKE]- pack Amazon order - partially done (1 out of 2)
- look out more stuff for the recycling centre
- clicks
- [STRIKE]buy new grout and silicone for shower (£20!!! and I'm annoyed with myself as it went on the credit card as did something else.... see below:mad:)[/STRIKE]

ok so done a few things, got £3 profit for the card I made so that can go with my tarot money to pay for my hair appointment tomorrow. Shopping cards are loaded but not mine as if I do need anything it'll be bread and milk which I'll get locally. No Tarot done last night as had the card to do. Not even sure I can do some tonight as SS can't pick OH up in the morning which means I have to do it (saves OH waiting over an hour for a bus). Will have a look in the freezer tonight, see what there is.
I sneakily opened my birthday card from my Gran, she gave me £40 :T! I need a new pair of jeans so will get those and some moisturiser (should come to £30). Will order moisturiser online so I can get cashback. The other £10 I'll probably put to Egg/BC.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Well done on gettig things done Unix, you are getting there, even if a bit slowly, every little counts as Mr T says.
Good luck with the shower, they can be a ********! We have a leak round the bath somewhere...haven't found it, despite searching for years and re-doing grout and sealant numerous times.
Seem to have solved the probem by having two shower curtains, one covering the tiles, so water shouldn't be running down the wall and downstairs. This seems to work for all of us except DS1 when he is home...loads of puddles in the kitchen when he showers !! Not sure what he does differently...a great mystery!!
If I miss it: Happy Birthday for this week :bdaycake:
I am.busy busy with lots of invigilating this month. Good for money, but bad for time free to make things, though I have been getting some knitting done inbetween exams.
I need to finish off a scarf for a colleague for tomorrow, £10, the first crafting money earned of the year. :j Then out later for the first session of my evening course on Book-keeping for the Self Employed, looking forward to it!
Have a good week, especially on your birthday xxx

Get under the bath, dry it as well as you can, then dust everywhere under it with talc.

Thanks Z, I'll give that a go. Its a shower tray unfortunately not a bath. OH has pulled out all the old grout so it meant washing my hair in the sink this morning (brings back memories of the water shortages we had in the early 80's).
Didn't get any tarot done last night, was asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. Making a dent in my stockpile of toiletries finally. Might try and clear a bit of clutter tonight and wash through some stuff so i'm not trying to dry it all at the same time.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. popped out at lunchtime to stock up on some bits and pieces, 50 j-cloths 99p, oven cleaner £1.59, cereal 99p (its proper weetabix!), lots of nibbles etc and some stuff to put in the present drawer (icre cream body wash, body butter and body scrub all 69p)..... spent £13, which was more than I wanted to spend but the stuff won't go wrong.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera.
