Hi LT, I think I'll get listing then. I was good I didn't buy anything at the candle party. £10 for 6 tealights! I don't think so. Had a good time though.

Flipping roll on :eek::eek: I think I will stick with Sainsbugs basics 100 for £4

Yes, exactly my thoughts. Hence I didn't buy anything!

Had nice day out with my Gran and OH. We went to the Victorian Fair. Bought some clootie dumpling (50p), craft stuff (£1.50) and a present for a friend (£1.50). Stepson still not paid his dig money.

Thanks LT, Dragon, you both made me smile. I've just sent him a text saying remember your dig money is due! Will have a word and remind him he was asked to pay on time (Friday as its his pay day) and stop dragging it out. Its not a lot out of his wages (as I explained before he has more disposable income than me and OH put together) and it does go a long way towards shopping.

Well he came home (with 2 carrier bags full of crisps, sweets, fizzy juice etc) and had to be reminded to pay his dig money. Did he share his sweets etc? Nope, he didn't (yet in the recent past he's just helped himself to chocolates that was wrapped or in a gift bag and not for him). Went to ask him if he wanted his dinner, OH was asking him how his weekend went. There was a multi-pack of fizzy juice sat on his bedroom floor, OH lifted the pack then asked if he could have one of the cans to go into his packed lunch. Stepson went mental and said they were his and that he'd bought a large bottle of fizzy juice for OH which he'd left in the kitchen. OH wasn't happy and asked 1) why he was getting angry and 2) when exactly had stepson said there was a bottle of fizzy juice in the kitchen for OH? All we got was mumbling..... he's 20 for goodness sake, not 12. Prett fed up of his behaviour to be honest. I wouldn't have dreamed of behaving that way at that age (or any for that matter). He's got nothing to be stressed about he's in a good job (which after bunking off college because he couldn't be bothered is a miracle and it was us that got him the job. He actually earns more than my cousin who has just qualified as a vet!), he has a car, roof over his head, I do his washing (refuse to iron any of his clothes), and the majority of meals I cook (got to the stage if he doesn't like it its tough). Please tell me out of that why he has any reason to moan?

    Because he's allowed to.

Has he ever had extra leeway/bribes to pay him off when he moans/complains/shouts?

With us no, but I think he sees his friends getting away with it and is now thinking its ok for him to do so (his so called best friend thinks its ok to shout and swear at his Mum and throw stuff at his wee brother ). Stepson's sister tried the same thing (only worse and usually meant police at the door every 2 days which got tiring and embarrassing until she did something that just wasn't on and got sent to a residential unit. She wasn't pleased that her 'Dad' couldn't get her out of it and had to stay there, not our choice I hasten to add but the court's), so you would think he would realise that its not going to wash with us. I'm also assuming that he thinks if he keeps making it difficult for us we'll stop asking him to make his bed/clean the bathroom/empty the bin from his room and put away his clothes. His latest was this morning, yesterday OH and I hung out a load of washing to dry. Stepson's socks and underwear got put over the radiator in his room. Not had heating on as its still warm and the house was boiling yesterday anyway. Stepson says this morning, the stuff smells damp and will have to be washed again because heating hasn't been on. OH got quite angry with him and said there was nothing wrong with his clothes and turns out OH was right stepson just couldn't be bothered pairing his socks etc and putting the stuff away. OH put uniforms in to wash and then put heating on for half an hour before I left to dry them out so they'd be ready for work (they won't give them more than one), what did stepson do? Turn his radiator off! Can't win.

Anyway OH and I have decided to get away for a few days, stepson also moaned about that but thats another story and I'm determined not to let it get me down!

On the money side of things this morning, only council tax and factors bill left to pay this month. Does mean the bank balance is looking decidely low but I'm hoping I either (or both) get orders for cards/hampers and get some tarot done too. I have some cash in my purse so will try and make do with that and eat out of our freezer this week (just toppng up bread, milk etc) as our freezer is full.

I still need a good recipe for carrot and coriander soup and i'll get that cooking tonight.

Forgot about the ebay listings, must get that done soon. Have the most gorgeous black full length sheepskin (with faux fur lining) coat with a huge faux fur collar to go on. Its an M&S one I bought a few years ago and have had on twice. Its meant to be a 14 but I think its more suited to a 12. Its like wearing about 6 duvets its so warm. As long as I get something for it I'll be happy, someone will get a bargain to keep them snug this winter.
