Thanks all, it was our first trip to the Amex since seeing it as a building site so yesterday was special. It is amazing to think a footie club can survive - and now move onwards & upwards - without a ground! :T

I know it's off-topic but it's been 14 years of patience and determination in getting 'our' ground back after it was stolen and sold by people calling themselves football directors/staff. People who must never set foot in Sussex again (Bill Archer of the Focus DIY empire before he sold that as well, and his smarmy puppet David Bellotti who thinks he's a politician and ran off to Bath).

Now I just channel my anger into PPCs and other injustices, disability issues etc. :)

im back....sorry to be so paranoid ,they havent contacted me although it hasnt been 28 days yet. my mates dad seems to think that its not a private car park though i cant find anything on the internet to see what it is. Im wondering if its possible that the local council can employ them to book me? although i find this very unlikely. i just have to check it out.

It's rather simple really - look at the invoice you've received - does it mention a council ? Probably not in which case it's a PPC and you should continue to ignore.

This advice comes from someone with two invoices from G24 that I haven't paid and quite likely one from Parking Eye as I returned to Wickes recently within the hour as I couldn't fit everything I needed in the car in one trip. Parking Eye can swivel if they think they are going to get a penny out of me :rotfl:

no i dont think it does...it is literally the same parking ticket as in the photos! but mine says 'parking longer than time paid for' for the issue reason.

Stop worrying, nothing happened or he would have come back.

Look at your 'ticket' - is it a PARKING charge Notice? Then it's a fake PPC one. A real PCN is called a Penalty charge notice, it's really simple to tell the difference just with that single word.

Bobdole hasn't posted on their Pepipoo thread since 26/07/11, It may well have been a punt at an undefended win, once a defence is entered PPC goes chicken! :p
  • Just thought i'd jump in and say i've ignored about five fake parking charges from numerous companies, only one has continued to pester me. And i, like the initial post received some c*** from gpb solicitors and yeh i'm going to ignore it. So all you people who are worried about the consequences, don't be. I'm 21 and have already realised they are no better than muggers in the street.

Stay strong and ignore! The more people we get to ignore this, the more chance these idiots will give up.

    +1 !

I just wished everyone would ignore them, Then the ppc's would go into liquidation.

Got parking charge notice for not displaying ticket i bought that more than covered me for the time i was parked.
Ticket was blown off dash whilst away from car as window left open in back.On return to car i found attendant still writing so showed him said ticket, shrugging his shoulders and smirking he carried on. After recieving some letters from the company iv'e Just recieved solicitors letter acting on their behalf threatening county court action if they dont recieve settlement of parking charge plus add ons.Tried to appeal in early stages to no avail so ignored ever since.Any advice please, starting to get slightly concerned.
    Cheers
