Dear all, i've had rather a worrying development, today i had a "Claim Form" from "Northampton (CCBC) County Court" for £143, With LPS (Local Parking Security) being the claiment and Geoffrey Parker Bourne signing it as the solicitor - it seems very much legit. With moneyclaim.gov.uk being linked as a way to pay.
Im really worried now, any advice please? ASAP!0 -
Is the claim form stamped with the court seal and is there a reference number? Have you contacted the court to see if a claim has been logged?"You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

Yes it has been stamped.
Yes there is Claim No. for the Claim and a reference number for the online payment.
No, there is a contact phone number, should i ring now / what should i say?0 -
You can confirm that the claim form is genuine (as in issued by the court, rather than forged by certain PPCs...) by logging on with the codes provided on the claim form.0

well i can log in and the claim is there, so it appears legit.
What do i do guys?0 -
To start with, I'd file an "Acknowledgement of Service", giving you more time to construct a full defence.
Then I'd go onto pepipoo.com for help in preparing a full defence. A good defence should see these chancers off.0 -
I'd suggest starting a thread on PePiPoo ( forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=60 ) and post scans of everything you've received (with personal details removed), and ideally photos of the signs at the car park.
It is essential that you file a defence (general advice is to acknowledge the claim and tick the extra time to file a defence option).0 -

Yeah sorry, forgot to quote it back across to hereAll that is in their "Particulars of the Claim" box =The Claimant's Claim is for charges arising out of the Defendant's failure to comply with the Claimant's terms and conditions of parking and the Claimaint claims the sum of 78.00.
Exactly like that, with "Claimant" misspelled at the end too, its typed not written.0 -
They are lining themselves up for a kicking.
