    Afternoon all, this may well be a silly question but I am counting my UU's for makeup, shower gel etc. Does everyone else count hand soap and toothpaste? x

    :D I'm just popping in to report 2 UU's this morning. Mini toothpaste from our stay in legoland when I forgot my toothbrush and a hand soap given to DD which was a hotel freebie. WIBA?: Well, the toothpaste wasn't bought it just came with a toothbrush but it was fine. DS said it was a bit too spicy for him. The soap was just soap. It wasn't bad or great. It's very handy to have a small soap in the downstairs loo to wash hands with as it fits on the sink.
    I do need to get myself a soap holder so that I can attach the soap to the wall and then it doesn't have to be a tiny bar of soap.
    I'm going to get another soap out of the stash but we already have toothpaste open so don't need to open another one of them.
    I had some ins yesterday but they were needed so I'm allowed :D small bottle of nailvarnish remover and some foam pads for my one step face base. I can't wait to have a nice clean sponge, mine is YEARS old!

    Charlie, I expect your Nan didn't really know what to say. How about replying and telling her what you like to do and stuff? Tell her about your recent holiday maybe? Or just reply as you were going to. You may be able to build up a relationship gradually.
    I was only able to start building a relationship with my Dad after his wife died. Even her children say that now she's dead they are able to have more of a relationship. I think that's sad really :( but it's her own doing.

    Wow girls!! So much news!!

    (and my multi-wuote button isnt working again :mad:)

    Charlie;
    CONGRATULATIONS!!! Well done hun, bet you're really happy!!!

    Kaz;
    I, like McCulloch, am also accident prone. I used to fall over so much when I was younger and no one knew why. Then I took up tree-climbing as a home-made sport type thing. That ended badly alot haha, full of scars from that, the worst being just under my left knee thats about 3 inches long and an inch wide :O Now I'm 21 and I still trip alot but not nearly so much. However, I put it down to me being hypermobile! I just dont seem to have the muscle control that everybody else does as I just use my ligaments too much =s

    Sarah;
    Thats awful!! I'd have demanded a lot more than £10 on my clubcard!!

    I hope I havent forgotten anyone!!

    Hi everyone
    Congratulations to charlie:j:j and grouphug.gif to sarah and kaz.
    Thanks for your help on the flights to Portugal problem I've been having. I've got to accept that it will be expensive as we have left it quite late to book. There are no airports near me that fly to Lisbon so have to go to one of the bigger ones. BMIbaby seems the cheapest but will see what the travel agent says tomorrow as my Dad knows her and said I should let her sort it all out! ( He's probably sick of me fretting about it):)
    how many of you are travelliing?Easy Jet go to Lisbon form a few places in UK inc Londons airports /liverpool/bristol

    Hi all,

    Back again - I'm turning out to be a fair weather poster this month!! Can't believe it's nearly July already!!!

    Charlie - congrats on the degree, that's awesome!:beer:
    Sarah*A - Can't believe you were treated like that, :mad: I'd kick up such a fuss! Hope you're feeling better.
    Willow - How did you do? Hope you got the results you wanted. x

    I can't remember who else I wanted to reply to so hugs to all those who need them!

    Right then ladies, I'm after a bit of advice! Am still trying to combat my somewhat oily skin, with no success so far. For the last week and a half I've been using Philosophy's Purity cleanser as a one stop shop - so cleaning my face with this, which also removes all my makeup, then putting just a dab of moisturiser on.

    Am unsure as to the cleanser - it feels lovely, but isn't doing much to stop the oil, and also I'm starting to get slightly sore dry patches right in the corners of my eyes by my nose, which can't be a great sign!! I've also had a few more spots than normal, some on my forehead but mainly around my jawline - not sure if it'll be drawing stuff out of my skin and I should stick with it for longer, or if the Purity cleanser itself is actually causing spots. I've never had sensitive skin or allergies...

    The other thing I tried was changing foundation - I was using the Clinique Superbalanced which seemed quite slick and shiny despite being 'oil free and balancing' - tried a sample of the Body Shop primer and their Oil free foundation - which is fine, maybe a little less shine, but it is slightly heavier so picks up any flakiness more!

    So... can anyone help??!!!

    Should I keep using the Purity cleanser and give it more time to settle my skin? My pores are definitely smaller/less noticable!

    Or should I move on to something else? I have my new Elemis set to crack into so can always give that a go!

    Alternatively, if anyone out there has had similar annoying skin that just won't behave, any recommendations would be soooo gratefully received!!!!!

    PS - I did try the BS seaweed moisturiser on the recommendation of this forum - it didn't make a blind bit of difference... unless I didn't give it long enough - how long should you give toiletries before you give up if you don't see a difference?

    Sorry for the long post!!!!!!!! :D

    I got Merit Pass Pass which is alright but my predicted grade was Merit Merit Pass. I think people seem to over-estimate what I can do sometimes. Now I can't make this post relate to toiletries since there's no ins or outs to report xD

    I count toothpaste (because there isn't any point in having more than one spare).

    I don't count bar soap (because I leave unwrapped bars in undie drawers and so on - to both scent the items for as long as the scent lasts and, perhaps unrealistically, to keep moths at bay).
