Sarah, what an awful thing to happen. I would be fuming
Congratulations on your first successful month Dr Roberto! I hope to have one of those... eventually...:o
Glad your DD is ok Kaz, what a scary thing to happen.
InAPickle - Erm, I have, shall I say, quite a lot of stuffThink I should just take a tent to the naughty step!
Mcculloch29 - Lol @ 'Banjovi'! :rotfl:
Have decided that my JBJ crush is completely acceptable since he's only a year older than Johnny Depp. Glad to hear I'm not the only Bon Jovi fan out there! I had to go to their show on my own as I couldn't actually get anybody to go with me - oh well, their loss!Sealed Pot Challenge Number 1225

Kaz... TG it wasn't more serious but poor wee kid, it does all happen to her, doesn't it? I was really accident prone at the same age too. I wore specs and broke them so often. I outgrew it eventually, though I've got three small scars from childhood accidents.
Sarah, I really hope your compensation is decent. What idiots!! I was so upset reading your post, you just don't need that carp.
Charlie, great news, woop, woop, so pleased for you. Get updating that CV!Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Thank you guys :T
I got over excited when I got home and saw my next door neighbours outside (they are sooo lovely) so I told them all about my degree grade. Mum has been phoning all the family now - turns out Im actually the only woman in the entire family to have a degreeMy folks + sister are coming down tomorrow night and have decided we should all go out for a meal as a celebration.
OH had his interview this evening although to be honest Im not sure from what he said on how it really went. Apparently they had over 200 applications for the 1 position so he is happy he at least got an interview but it doesn't make a huge amount of sense in that he said they normally give people internships before actually giving them the job which they said obviously wouldn't be possible in his case because he's already employed so Im somewhat confused especially seeing as the role was advertised as a 'senior' type position....He's apparently meant to hear within 1-2 weeks.
Oh and btw did anyone else know IKEA sold all types of toiletries :rotfl: I almost ended up buying them the other dayMFW 2020 #111 Offset Balance £69,394.80/ £69,595.11

Hey guys,
Haven't been on in a few days...
2 UU to report:
M&S Ingredients Papaya body polish WIBA? No. This was a cheap sale buy. Not a fan of body polishes, they don't seem to do much for me, not very scrubby or polishy. Love the papaya scent though.
Started a Nspa Coconut Icecream body scrub-thought it would be the same as the polish-pleasantly suprised, lovely and scrubby, this might even be better than the Clinique scrub I've tried.
Herbal Essences Smooth and Soft conditioner WIBA? Yes, lovely stuff, leaves my hair lovely and soft. Already started another one.
Splutterers:
Sure deoderant
BS Papaya shower gel
No INS! :j0 -

Oh no, I didn't get to finish my story. I really can not fault the staff at Woodlands. They were excellent. The first aider completely agreed with me and got them to take us back to our tent in a buggy so we could go to hospital. She said to forget the paperwork and get DD sorted and that I could go back and do the paperwork that evening or the next day. The chap who got to DD did exactly the right thing. He kept her calm and kept pressure on her wrist wound. The reason it looked broken was because of the swelling and it was covered in black rubber. They were going to call an ambulance but I said we didn't need an ambulance but that we did need to go quickly. They were able to tell us which was the closest hospital and the first aider advised us to go to Torbay as Dartmouth doesn't have xray facilities.
When we got DD calmed down in the car we worked out that she hadn't actually fallen off the ride so thought she may not have broken her wrist. She was in less pain so I said to DH to go into Dartmouth to find the minor injuries bit and get her sorted there to stop the bleeding and then decide if she needed xray. Thankfully not.
MiL was saying the next day that we should get compensation but tbh DH and I fail to see what's to compensate on their part. We don't know what happened nor does DD. They couldn't have been more helpful either. When I went in with her the next morning to fill in the accident form, the chap behind the desk came over to speak to DD and ask her what she had done. I asked him to pass on the message of thanks to the rangers who helped. We were at another ride later that day waiting for the others to get off and the chap who helped her saw her and came over to ask her how she was and what she had had done. Lovely people. Can't wait to go next year.

I do hope your accidents weren't too bad when you were small. DD is only 9 and she's covered in scars!charlie792 wrote: »Thank you guys :T

Charlie, well done on the results and congratulations on earning your degree. Good luck with your Nan, I'm intrigued about the weird letter! Good luck with the job hunting, good luck with OH's job application too. Enjoy your meal out tomorrow.
Yes I did know about the Ikea toiletries. I kept that quiet when we went so that nobody was tempted.
@ sarah, how awful of Tesco staff. It's really annoying when people wind you up and wind you up and then threaten to throw you out when it's them causing the problems. It's a power trip thing. Just because they have security doesn't mean that they can forget their manners. Gets.
I'm sure there's more for me to say, I lost a long reply earlier.

All my scars are very minor... one under my left eye, snagged on a tree branch playing football age 15/16... cough... one on my lower lip, also 16, head on collision on the dodgems at Weston super Mare (of all places Kaz!!) and one on my knee where I banged it on the edge of the tin bath that was stored in our pantry. We had a proper bathroom, Mum used the tin bath to soak sheets in.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Maybe I should just move then for DD's safety  :rotfl:.
When we were at the hospital, the nurse was chatting to DD and DD said "Well, I'm not as bad as my Mum, She broke her arm on the first day of her holiday when she was small. IN A MUSEUM!" I'm so happy to have a DD who shares all my embarrassing tales with random strangers:rotfl:.

Congrats Charlie and hugs to Sarah and Kaz.
Two uu's this morning, probably the last of the month. NSpa Angel Cake Body Cream. WIBA? Yes, this really did smell like angel cake! Also, a 50 ml Sanctuary Cleansing Facial Wash. WIBA? No, it did the job but smelt weird, possibly because I'd had it way too long.0
