*waves hello*
Back from my holiday with one OUT - Cath Kidston Rose Shower Gel. WBA as it smells utterly gorgeous and is nicely moisturising, but sadly it only comes in the gift sets. Plus I have loads of shower gel so don't need any more for a long time!
I do however have to report an IN in the shape of the Posietint freebie with this month's Glamour, but I will use it and would have bought the magazine anyway so can justify it that way..."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
Sorry I've been MIA this month - been a busy month what with DS2 coming home for a few days, the days spent putting the house back together once he'd left again and major changes at work:(
Anyway I've loads of In's courtesy of DS2 who works for Mr B
S & G Wish upon a Jar
No7 Sumptuous Bath Soak
Benefit You clean up nice Face Wash
Elizabeth Arden Gentle Line Smoothing Exfoliator
2 X Olay total Effects face masks
Mr B Natural collection Strawberry bath creme, bath pearls & body scrub
SD blonde shampoo, conditioner & intensive conditioner (that they sold off for 20p each)
I've also received several Olay freebies through the door these last few days:D
Do I need to go on the naughty step as I didn't buy any of it:D:D
A Few outs donated to DS2 and his GF
2 X clean & clear blackhead clearing facial scrubs
Mr T vitamin E eye make-up remover
and finally....drum roll please??? my UU's
Lush Candy Cane bar - no idea how old it was - find it in the back of a drawer
Batiste Tropical Dry Shampoo - this is a HG product so have already repurchased
Time Delay night serum
Clean & clear blackhead scrub (that DS2 left behind)
Halo & Horns shampoo & Detangler (used up dregs )
Halo & Horns Shampoo & conditioner (used up dregs)
I've also got a No7 calm skin redness relief gel that's spluttering and
only about 2 more applications of S & G Flake away
I don't have regular baths as I'm a shower girl but I've treated myself to a soak tonight, and given myself a proper pamper in the spirit of this thread:D:D and as my skin has been looking shocking this last few days (despite all the lotions and potions it sees:o) I've had a go at OCM and I must say whilst not perfect there is an improvement after just the one go and my skin doesn't feel tight at all.
Best Wishes to everyone

LOL'ing at the exchange about the co-codomol - so funny! I've taken that stuff once - turns out I don't react well to codeine.....apparently people pay good money for hallucinations like I had - it was enough to put me off dubious substances, whether prescribed or not - for ever!
Thankfully we ran out of time to get to Boots clearance yesterday so my willpower wasn't put to the test! I will be popping into town tomorrow morning to make the most of the Telegraph BS vouchers though - I'm thinking I'll try to get a Tea Tree exfoliating facial wash with one, and probably a mini Rainforest intensive conditioner and either a mini shampoo or conditioner with the other. either way I'm aiming for a straight £5 spend or below with them anyway - no money added or it defeats the object. Of course this will depend entirely on wresting back ownership of the paper from Her ladyship the Cat ahead of tomorrow morning - she's crled up on it happily purring at the moment!
I'm extremely tempted to use up the dregs of the Avon handcream on my feet tonight...watch this space for a UU! Signed up yesterday for the 14 day trial of one of the L'Oreal products - whether I get it or not remains to be seem though.
Sarah HAPPY BIRTHDAY for tomorrow sweetie - hope it's a good one, and what brilliant news about Little Dog too! :T
LittleVoice I think FMG was meaning to use her Advantage Points to buy the magazine, rather than using a voucher and points together. Yes, that's spot on! I couldn't find the magazine in Boots though. I then went to Superdrug but no luck. Next it was Sainsbury's but it was showing at full price and so I asked a girl on the till to check this for me and she said it was correct. So then on to WH Smith and again it was showing up at full price so I left the shopping centre with only a birthday card for my efforts. It was just as well that I didn't make a special journey to the shopping centre as it was on the way to another destination. On the way home I had to call in at Tesco for some groceries and hurrah they had the mag in stock showing at £2. Alas, I used the self service tills and the magazine wouldn't scan so I asked an assistant for help. He took it to Customer Services and came back and said I couldn't have it as they hadn't put the magazines through the system yet but I could come back tomorrow . Well, I wasn't having that so I insisted that they override the item so that I could take it home with me. This meant that the manager had to be called for authorisation. Phew, that was hard work and now I've spotted Sarah's post that there's a £5 voucher in The Telegraph, which we have delivered! So I didn't need to buy a mag after all! Oh well, I used a £2.50 money off coupon at Tescos, so technically it was free anyway. I will be going past the shopping centre again today on my way to hospital visiting and so I shall pop in and visit the Body Shop to spend my two vouchers. Luckily, the shopping centre has free parking otherwise this would have turned out to be a costly exercise!

Happy Birthday Sarah :bdaycake: The sun is shining up here in Stockport so hope it's a lovely day where you are too.On another note, I'm thinking of purchasing this Laura Geller set http://www.qvcuk.com/ukqic/qvcapp.aspx/view.2/app.detail/params.item.229466.cm_scid.KeywordSearch
I've been wanting to try balance and brighten for ages, has anyone used this before and is it any good? Comments would be gratefully received
I use Laura Geller Balance N Brighten. Can't remember how long I've been using it - wouldn't buy any other now though. I had problems finding a mineral foundation that matched my skin tone however because this has different colours in it it does the trick. Don't know about the size you are planning to buy but the full size lasts me about 6months or more (with daily usage). I do use a primer under it just to even out my skin first and it stays put all day with primer too. Never feels cakey (which I found with other mineral foundations) and very easy to apply although I don't like the brush that came with it. I use a kabuki brush that I got from Boots with a mineral blush.
Have never used Bronze N Brighten but I do also love her blushers. I own a few (thanks to a recent TSV AD). I have Sunswept (this was the first I got and still my favourite), Apricot Berry and then I have 2 x duos which are Ethereal Rose/Satin Sheen Berry (the matte version of the one in your proposed purchase) and Ethereal Rose/Satin Sheen Sunswept). I personally prefer the non matte ones although I do like the Ethereal Rose. They do look very bright in the pots so it may be wise to go carefully with them at first and build the colour up. HTH.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Welcome back MinervaDid you have a nice time?
Kaz honestly don't worry. I was wayyyyyy off in understanding :rotfl:
Henna night was nice. First one I've been too this year and in my (should be over it I know) situation was thoroughly depressed. And my head hurt as I'd forgotten to pick up my now legal substances
In bed but got loads to do. Got to go to Bluewater to collect an M&S order. Also need to go get my threading done and go to Costco to buy washing liquid. And might have to go visit my aunt.
Firstly though a lovely pampering showerAll my splutterers are still spluttering so no forseeable UUs on the horizon today

Second June OUT - B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful Sweet Lips Lip Scrub. WBA as it worked really well at giving me nice smooth lips, smelt (and tasted) good and was good value at £4.75 for a big pot which lasted a long time. I have the mint flavoured version in my stash so will start on that tomorrow.Welcome back Minerva
Did you have a nice time?
I did thank you - it was just a week in Cornwall with my family so we didn't do much other than go to the beach and visit a couple of towns, but the weather was good and it was nice to spend time with my sisters and nephews."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
:bdaycake: Happy Birthday to one of the nicest posters on this thread - Sarah :bdaycake:
Hope your day has more nice surprises in it. Brilliant news about the vet's bills. Next year I think I'll try some S&G - something to look forward to.
May you continue to recover Sawan and have a lovely day.
A lovely sunny day here and it doesn't look too windy for once, so I may pedal up to Wilkinson's.
Yesterday our town centre security guys stopped me when I was pushing my trike in the shopping precinct and gave me permanent permission to ride it. :j:j
Riding bikes in the town centre is forbidden but pushing the trike can be so painful if I am having a bad arthritis day. Ironically, yesterday was a good day! Some days I would pray they were elsewhere rather than have to get off and push and I often cursed the irony of being passed by folks on mobility scooters (which are legal).
Getting a little bored of the new lotion now, but will persevere. I like to use body butter on my legs and it isn't really pampering enough, although the skin feels fine.
It occurred to me that if these hair vitamins I'm taking are going to work my body hair should sprout more vigorously too...Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0
