  • Ok,

UU - Cutex Nail Polish Remover - WIBA? Already have!

In - Rimmel 60 Seconds in Rose Libertine (oops)

    BUT!!!

    SOLD! (eBay)

    Chanel Particuliere 505
    Chanel Black Pearl 513
Jo Malone Lime, Basil and Mandarin 30ml
    Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir 30ml
    Jo Malone Vanilla Anise 30ml

Raising nearly £70, so £3.50 on Rimmel is allowed, I figured. Also got a Boots £5 voucher, so I can see some no. 7 polish heading inwards when I get to the big Boots at the weekend.

    Snap!:rotfl:

Well a few of my splutterers have finally given up so I have uu:

pantene enhanced layers shampoo - wiba - I quite like pantene shampoo, it's cheap and does leave my hair soft, not sure about enhancing layers but my hair is probably too long for that - now only have one shampoo left

john frieda luxurious volume thickening blow dry lotion - wnba as certainly didn't live up to its rather grandiose title

S&G Clean on me shower gel -love this stuff and very glad I have another one in the stash

revlon photo-ready foundation in shell - wiba - already have, this is my HG foundation

Also have a few naughty INS to 'fess up to so bunch up in the naughty corner I'm coming in -

Benefit benetint - I subscribe to Glamour and got this one sent to me
Benefit Posietint (with mag)- have used this in the past and quite liked it during summer months when I like a lighter make-up

Benefit Highbeam (yes I did buy another mag!) - love this stuff

Rimmel 60 second nail polish in Rose Libertine - thanks for the recommendation RightyTightyLeftyLoosey, the colour is fab

I will have to try really hard not to buy anything else for the rest of the month now.

Hope you are all well, off now to catch up, xx

One Thank Goodness It's Gone UU . The Baylis and Harding Moonlight Lavender Foot Balm.
Beautifully packaged in a 50 ml lavender and silver tube and some of the cheapest feeling, greasy muck I've ever put on my skin. The lavender scent was very strong so I carried on using it, but thinking about it, it probably wasn't real lavender. The ingredients weren't on the tube.
What the main ingredient felt like, and probably was, was petroleum jelly. I think I could get the same skin care effect (probably better in fact) by adding a bit of Nivea and a few drops of lavender oil to Vaseline.
My feet are already nicely soft and they have stayed soft, so I could say that it worked, but pfrt.
A friend who doesn't have a lot of spare cash bought this for me as a gift, thinking from the packaging at least, that she was giving me something I would love using. I feel cheesed off on her behalf.
    WIBA? No!
I have some Dove pro-age handcream that is past the best by date to use up next. Then there's the large tube of foot lotion I bought to use with the Circulation Booster.

I went on the Baylis and Harding website and it's quite upmarket looking, you really would be hoodwinked into thinking you were buying quality products. I realised on seeing the products on the website that the free gift I nearly got at Cornish Gold near Redruth was a litre of B&H ... phew, narrow escape.

Well, didn't manage to persuade the kids to paint with me. They were all enthusiastic but both flaked out on the sofa. Then they decided to play drafts so I let them do that because it's funny hearing the conversations they have when they aren't arguing :). I decided to get my sewing machine out and finish off the setting blocks for my quilt top and DD came over to help. She wanted to do some sewing but I wanted to get it done quickly so I asked her if she would help me pair the blocks up instead. She happily did this for me and cut my time down by over half I reckon. She was also able to watch me sewing while she did that so had a bit of a lesson without realising it.
I didn't moisturise after my bath this evening because I had sewing to finish and didn't want to get greasy patches on my fabric. Again, will do when I eventually get up to bed.
    Sorry for the OT post.

Sawan, pleased you went to the Dr's, hope the pain killers work for you. Just remember how binding co-codamol can be  and take precautions (sorry if TMI :o).

Have caught up on the posts from the last 2 days since I last posted and am very impressed/dismayed that no-one other than me gave in to the TBS offer! Mind you, I haven't always partaken in the numerous recent TBS offers so guess you are all stocked up on their products. I made an order whilst the 50% off offer was available. I got:-

Coconut body butter - Emma asked for something coconut smelling and I will try anything to get her to moisturise!

With this I got a free body scrub so chose the Pink Grapefruit one to go with the small tub of matching body butter I have in my stash.

Hemp hand cream as my Yes to Carrots tube is making that pht pht sound they do when they are spluttering although no doubt once I cut open the tube there will be loads left still. Bit miffed with myself as I hadn't realised that I only ordered the 30ml tube. Would have been better saving to order the 100ml.

Moroccon Rose shower gel - I have a body butter in stash that this will go with.

    Aloe facial moisturiser for Emma

2 x home fragrance oils. I did want one of the new candles but they had sold out of the fragrances I liked. Am hoping that these will work just as well as my favourite Yankee Candle wax tarts so I can save a bit of money on purchasing YC goodies. Must not watch QVC this weekend as there is a YC TSV!

All in all I was quite pleased that I bought things that will enable me to use up items in my stash.

But then .... by the time I placed my order the things that I really wanted were sold out so I bought 2 x copies of Instyle mag for the £5.00 gift card. Am figuring though that if I love the Hemp hand cream I can buy more at a further discount.

Also picked up the free Jemma Kidd lipgloss with Red magazine. Got the red coloured one - I don't own one this bright and have already had a compliment about it.

Was quite good in that I could have run amok buying more mags but didn't. Don't want a new eyeliner as I'm happy with my Smashbox and Laura Geller ones and the Benefit products don't work for me so haven't bothered with those mags. Also didn't buy the mag with the free Leighton Denny varnish on even though I have a serious addiction to nail lacquer. I do own three bottles of Supermodel already (my all time fave I think) and I own several red/orange/coral colours as it is. There is also a Leighton Denny TSV tomorrow which I don't intend to watch as the colours look boring.

Have painted my nails today with OPI Guy Meets Galvaston.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

EDITED OUT: No elaborations pls :rotfl:

And if we're not, I'm sorry and now dragging my mind out of the gutter and could you please elaborate? :o :rotfl:

VALM way to go on resisting the Leighton Denny, so have I... so far  And if you use BrandAlley they sometimes have YC on offer.

Mcculloch I'm sure your feet are enviable :) I've been slacking on moisturising my feet  Better get to it from today :o

Paula a thin-ish layer is best I think. With some of them the consistency is such that only a thick layer is possible. Also, try applying it diagonally if you think it's crackled too 'straight'.

Did PYNF and have Nails Inc Halkin Street (kind of navy blue) with an Orly matte gold in between. Will post pic to photobucket as pleased with the colour combo :)

Have uu a L'Aimant soap - have one more of this variety in the stash. Have moved on to a large bar of honey soap. Also uu a 400 ml Herbal Essences Shampoo for Normal Hair. I now only have 2 Herbal Essences shampoos left which is amazing as I got loads when there was a glitch at Boots a few years ago and at one point I'd got them stashed everywhere!

I'm not tempted by the Benefit products but am planning to get the Instyle mag for the BS voucher. I'm hoping Boots sell it so that can use my advantage card points.

Sainsbury’s basics toothpaste – 75 ml (OH doesn’t like Arm & Hammer which is my stashed addiction so had to buy for him – I finish off from the point where he would throw out – there’s always more if you open the tube!)

UU 11 June (demonstration of my determination to get the last out of the tube)
    RightPrice toothpaste 75 ml
WIBA – yes (for OH who raised no objections!) but not better than other value toothpastes
