Three machine loads of washing are on the line outside.
Dishwasher has finished one load and ready to fill it up again.
Have french loaf in breadmaker on dough setting and will bake it later today in the oven. Peeled and chopped potatoes for mash to go with sausage casserole tonight. For anyone turning their nose up at that i have a pepper and mushroom creamy pasta dish.
Jelly is setting in the fridge - at least I hope that it will. Two DDs are bringing a friend back tonight.
Must get round to writing Christmas cards.
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"

Well good morning all, just thought I'd say hi (I don't think I've posted on the daily thread before
)
A very, very un-OS day today. I'm at work, (with nothing to do), I bought a bacon sarnie from the bakers and am all packed. My boss is taking us to Barcelona for the day tomorrow and has paid for a hotel for me and hubby to stay in tonight - I'm not local to the airport otherwise. So it's a meal out tonight, meals out tomorrow and then we're staying at MIL's tomorrow night with no time to cook so yet more eating out on Thursday.Oh and hubby is treating me to have my hair done tonight - and paying for it too. I haven't had a cut since April so am looking forward to that.
I've brought my Xmas cards to write so I'll get on with that shortly and then start to make a pattern for Grandad's garden tool pouch I want to make. I should have brought my sewing in really but in the "where's my passport" panic this morning it all went to pot.
Anyway, huge hugs to everybody - I'm in a sunny mood today.New year, no debt! Debt free date - 02/01/07 :j :j :j0 -
Well, OH is up at the fractures clinic and I've got all my baking done. Hoping OH won't need an operation to fix him. Can't help feeling annoyed - DD's dance lessons have finished for the term so I was looking forward to a few weeks off taxi-ing her around to lessons, but now I've got to do the judo run for the boys (judo doesn't seem to have holidays), and they've got a party to go to next Tuesday which I'll have to do:rolleyes: listen to me, I sound really selfish and unsympathetic:o -I'm putting it down to PMT:D

Well, looks like I'll be starting work later today
This morning, when I uncovered the budgies' cage, a sad surprise awaited me: Charlie, the 10 year old violet one, lay dead at the bottom of the cageThere had been no indication she was ill or anything -only last night she was preening and eating normally and chirping. I have wrapped her in tissue, and tonight I'll bury her outside. She was so beautiful, a brilliant blue-violet hue.
The other two, Molly and Billy, are quiet this morning.
They are only little birds, I know, but they are by beloved pets...:(
Anyway, I'll be off in a while to do my surveys and won't be back until late this evening, so...
Have a good day everyoneBe careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -

Hi Yall, a fitful nights sleep here at chez MATH as I was up and down nursing miss MATHLETT who has a cold which has also given her earache, so she is off shcool today and is currently lounging under a mountain of bubbles soaking her troubles away while I sit at the pc feeling the same cold germs starting to attack that little space behind your eyes that tells you a real stinker of a cold is on the way. LOL
Miss MATH is supposed to be in a show tonight and tomorrow night, has nativity rehearsals Sat morning, is performing for the school in some county singing competion Sat afternoon, is performing a Basque Carol at the Nativity Sun Morning and has two solos at the Village Carol Service on Sun evening so getting a cold now is not good news. I've spent some of this morning trying to explain to a grumpy head teacher and a far from happy choirmaster that I do not control the spread of germs throughout the county and it really isn't my fault. LOL
Senior MATHLETT will be quarenteened as soon as he is home from school because he has a similar singing schedule for the weekend and if he has to cry off too I think I shall be lynched especially as this may be the last year he can attain an alto.
Anyway vocal dramas aside - so far

Tomorrow dinner prepared (Yeh! I know - it must be these new tablets LOL)

quasar, hugs from me too, we used to have two budgies, your budgie must have been well loved to have lived to ten x0

Well, OH has just returned from clinic with his dad:rolleyes: I really don't know why he didn't ring me to fetch him (we live really near the hospital), so now I've got OH and FIL under my feet boring on about cars:mad:  So that's helping with the PMT not.
Anyway, the broken collarbone will apparently get better by itself, and he's got to take 3 weeks off work, so that's 4 weeks at home with Christmas as well. Fortunately the only thing OH does Christmas wise is fetch the tree, I do/have done everything else. Mind you, I know he hasn't done his Christmas shopping, so I don't know what he's going to do about that.0 -

Awww... thanks twink.. My first two lived to 12 and 11 respectively. I buy them the best seed and lots of organic oats. Millet spray only as a treat though or they'll only eat that and their diet would not be balanced, as they need a variety of seeds.
I spray them lightly with water every day - keeps the dust from the cage down, and keeps their feathers in good condition.
Add to that lots of affection, and the birds will thrive...:)Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
Hi everyone
(((hugs))) to everyone who needs them (((hugs)))
Quasar - my gran had a budgie that lived to 18!! She went to Canada and left us to look after it and that's when it decided to "go"
Today, I've been with the boys for our dental check-up - all tickety-booCome home and have vaxed the living room and hall carpets and have constructed a huge shepherds pie for tonight. Have also spent ages photographing cameras and responding to people about items I have for sale on ebay. It's amazing the watchers you get when it's something specialized - one lens is up to 27 watchers and I had bids on stuff within the first hour
(It's some of my dad's photographic equipment about which I know nothing, except that it's still worth a bob or two)
It's DS1's school xmas play this afternoon so will dutifully sit on a hard chair in the school hall, with my trustly camcorder. DS2 has his nativity next week.
Right - have to get on. Can't move in here because of assorted cameras, lenses and filters spread around so best tidy them up. Need to tidy kitchen and fight with the laundry before I head out into the wild and windy weather to do my "proud parent" bit :rotfl:
Hava a good day.
