Morning everyone
Happy Belated Birthday to anyone I have missed in the last few days.
And :grouphug: to those that need it.
Just a quick post as I am in process of getting ready for work.
We had a fab weekend away - very relaxing. My Crimbo shopping is finished (I think) :j :j :j Just got to finish the wrapping now.
Went to see "The Holiday" at the flicks. A bit cheesy but still good.
Work all day today and tomorrow so not much else getting done. Will probably do a load of washing tonight and a quick whizz round with a duster and hoover.
Bye for now :wave:0 -

Good morning everyone,
Had good friend turn up yesterday afternoon with her son and a bottle of wine, so i invited them to stay for dinner, and a couple of bottles later, her OH had to come and collect them!! So, this morning, i have to drive over and collect her, bring her back to mine so she can collect her car!!! Just means we have to leave the house 15 minutes early and will be worth it, as it was lovely having them here.
Once my 2 are at school, and little one has gone to nursery, im popping into Plymouth, friend has asked me to collect something for her, need to get some xmas crackers for DD (we always have a box each, 2 for xmas day, 2 for boxing day, and then 2 for new years day) and also re buy some dolphin earings for her. I bought some ages ago, but cannot find them now, so very un OS, im getting some more. I know they arnt expensive, and she really wants them, but i am mad at myself for losing them. If i have time, i might pop over to Aldis, as ive not been there for ages.
Right, better get my 2 up, and make their lunches,
Hope everyone has a lovely day
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Morning all! :santa2: It's a bright morning here so I'm feeling more enthusiastic about being dragged up early by MY naughty little black cat for some extra breakfast. Going to shower in a minute and then get on with a Super Clean of the bathroom, trying to start the big clean ready for Christmas and doing one room at a time, much easier to fit it all in that way.
Carol singing tonight so dinner will be another scratch meal dragged out of the freezer, last night I made chicken chunks with a pasta sauce out of ratatouille and a tin of tomatoes, thrown over pasta, DH thought it was delicious and it took me all of 10 minutes to prepare :rotfl: Haven't investigated the bowels of the freezer yet to see what I can scrape up, but he will be in charge of his own dinner as I won't be there to see it
Still waiting for one present from Ebay to arrive but otherwise I'm all wrapped, cards written and to be posted today, stocking fillers sorted out and most of the food prepared and in the freezer AND the best news of all is that I haven't got to go to w*rk today, yay!
Have a great day everyone!:xmassmile

Morning everyone,
Feel really refreshed because I had a lovely sleep last night. Really feel for those with joint pains, too. My knees are doing okay today but I never know from one day to the next how they will take me.
DS1 up and eager to get to work so he can finish early. (they let him do flexi hours the lucky lad) so I'm away to take him to work and then I'm going to have a coffee and a read through the £10 a week thread. Started reading a couple of posts yesterday and then door went and forgot about it later.
Have fun today.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Well, my week has gone pear-shaped. OH went to judo for the first time since October when he damaged his ribs in a throw. He came back after half an hour saying he'd broken his collar bone:rolleyes: Apparently he has indeed broken it, so we're off to the fractures clinic at WRI this morning. He can't drive till after Christmas so it looks like I'll have to ferry him around. I don't know what his mother's going to say, she thinks he's far too old to be doing judo. I'm beginning to wonder if the motorbike wasn't safer :rotfl:
Anyway, baking day today -muffins and flapjacks for school. Chicken breasts for tea. Not sure how to do them yet. Probably need to buy a bottle of wine as well0 -
Morning everyone
I am back from my lovely trip to New York and we had a great time. We truely didn't spend much money but managed to see all of the sights that we wanted to(plenty of walking so feeling vaguely fit!) and my favourite sight was seeing "Il Divo" (swoon) in the hotel lobby! It was the first time that Oh and I had been away together since the children came along and I was so looking forwards to seeing them when we got back.
The day we were leaving OH had a call to go into London to an interview, he had 15 minutes to throw his suit on and get to the station. It was the worst possible timing and he was tempted not to go but he did..... and he got the job....Yay! He starts on the 2nd of Jan, so we can have a relaxed christmas before starting 2007 with a bang.
We are going to put up our christmas decorations today and I need to pop to Mr T's. I might take dd to a lovely garden centre to see santa but will see how the jetlag goes.
I hope everyone's week has gone o.k. After popping on briefly yesterday I see PP has had a wedding anniversary and Moggins, hugs to you for your husband making a very thoughtless comment.
Take care0 -
Good morning everyone. :hello:
Well the school play yesterday was fabulous and has really put me in the mood for Christmas. All the children were fantastic and each and every one of them acted their little hearts out….needless to say I thought Rudolph was a little star!He didn't fluff his lines and his dance had to be seen to be believed.
Sadly that's my last time going to see the school play at the primary school, as once they turn seven they do a carol service instead. The carol service is lovely too but it doesn’t have quite the same cuteness factor as the plays.
So far today… the breakfast dishes are washed, the beds are made and the breadmaker’s on. Quite an achievement for me at this time of the day.
Plans for the rest of the day……..sew some scout and beaver badges onto the uniforms, make something quick and easy for tea as I’m working tonight, clean the living room from top to bottom and polish the fireplace if I can find the motivation. It's an inglenook with a dog basket grate and although it looks lovely when the fire's lit it takes forever to polish the grate and the slates. I've been talking myself out of doing it for about a week now….so by putting it here in black and white I'm hoping I'll finally get around to it.
I hope you all have a more exciting day ahead than I do.
