My husband is driving me mad!
I can't drive but trying to find bargains like bikes & scooters (bulky items basically!) I always ask dh if we can collect them and he says yes and then when it comes to collecting them (I can't drive) he moans about being tired after work. Honestly, he's really doing my head in at the moment it's like a love-hate relationship!!
In other news I now *nearly* have all my xmas pressies done
Only got to get
MIL - Jewellery - Havn't seen anything that I have liked that I know she would like
DH - Right this min he deserves coal!!! I have no idea what to get him though.
So far he has;
Steve Jobs biography
Andy Kirkpatrick book
Hotel chocolat chiili chocs
Hotel chocolate chilli drinking powder
Something else from Hotel chocolate but can't remember what!
Pass the pigs game
Actually have thought of a few things whilst posting this
A t-shirt
Gardening gloves - decent ones though - any ideas?
Tube of jaffa cakes - none in our Tesco yet!!
Maybe a bottle of southern comfort but I would end up drinking it too!!Spreading a little Christmas joy all year round :santa2:0 -
noodles86 - i was in te$co yesterday and they had a meter of jaffa cakes for half price (£6 reduced down to £3) was tempted myself - it was HUUUUGE! says it contained individually wrapped packs - 6 I think - to help keep fresh. Hmmmm just wondering how long it would take to eat a meter of jaffa cakes single-handed....0

Race you.
I'm very organised this year, all the gifts but one are wrapped and that one needs batteries and building. The cards are written and ready to be posted and I am powering happily through my Big List, although my new kitchen was due to come in next week and there's no sign of the various bits of it in the warehouse so they've not arranged a date for it yet  I hope it arrives by Christmas as I have 26 people coming for a Boxing Day Festival of Leftovers.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
Three gifts left to buy0 -
Wow SugarSpun that is amazing! Our christmas seems very low key in comparison.
I am still super excited though. Unfortunately my sloe gin bottles arrived today and one of them was crackedhope the company send me another to replace.
I am considering making some vanilla vodka since Lidl have vanilla pods on offer and i need something for contrast in the yin/yang bottles. my sloe gin is looking great already though! pinky and very tempting! I wasnt exactly singing its praises last night when i was pricking each individual sloe from my 2lb bag.
Now looking for my Christmas party dress online. I really should wear something I've already got but I would love something new! Does anyone else buy a christmas day outfit? I do! (suddently all the debt makes sense....)0 -
Louby lou - my mil dragged me to tescos this week to buy me and my 2 daughters frocks for christmas day.She insists on buying new outfits every year,I'm happy to go without as before I got with my husband (8 yrs ago!:p)I had never heard of it and it just didn't occur to me.But it is nice to put on a special outfit.Even if I suspect that her generosity is actually 'cos she wants to make us all presentable for the photos!!:rotfl:
Ps my mil calls all dresses 'frocks',bless her.:female:Our 2 gorgeous little girls born 2006 and 2010

Uh oh. That looks suspiciously like my future! I have no excuse, we don't take a photo (i start eating at about 7am and nothing looks flattering with a tub of cheeselets glued to your hand) I just like to buy clothes I suppose, and when teaming the theme with my favourite time of year its a slipperly slope!
I am looking for a christmas jumper for the other half this year - I thought this was garishly brilliant:

So tempted but its so expensive! :beer:0 -
We never did photos when I was growing up,it's a lovely idea to capture the memories of kids and grandparents etc,but I was mortified the first x-mas that mil whipped her camera out and started snapping away.lol.I'm used to it now.Funny how different family traditions can be at christmas.
That jumper reminds me of the one Mark Darcey wears in the film Bridget Joans diary!I like it:female:Our 2 gorgeous little girls born 2006 and 2010

Hi everyone,
Wanted to ask for peoples opinion on what other small stuff I could put in a small coffee themed hamper. So far I have..umm a packet of those posh Douwe Egberts coffee pods!
Probably not a mug as the recipient has plenty already, but can't seem to think past a packet of nice biscuits.
Can anyone think of one or two other items I could put it along the same lines otherwise it's looking a bit bare!
many thanks..#39 - Save £12k in 20250
