My Ds is football mad! Someone said about football stickers ect. The new Match Attaxs will be out around Oct. The Sun last year had a voucher daily for cards and also the album for the collection. I buy a few extra papers and get more for stocking fillers for DS. The cards are normaly 50p.
In Tescos you use to be able to get a captins armbad, they do come up big but ds loves his.
Also as already mentioned Sports Direct is great. I wish we had a b&m by me.0 -

for the football hamper, im not sure of your budget, but dont think anyone mentioned a football kit? football pjs can usually be found in primark and tescos, also what about a sports beaker for his juice?
around fathers day, thorntons sell a chocolate football boot which they can ice his name on - not sure if they are all year round or just at that time of year?! they rae £6 or 2 for £10
As for baskets you have to be lucky to find them cheap it seems, a lot of people find them in carboots sales and charity shops (although i never have!) and some have been lucky enough to find them in pound shops.
other than that its all your usually shops, dunhelm, the range, b&q, all the big supermarkets etcMummy to ds 29/12/06 dd 10/2/08 ds 25/5/11:Amy angel born too soon 18/11/12, always with me Emmie Faith:A15 projects in 2015 10/15completed0 -

Thanks x Hmm..just very concious that I got some real bargains with the contents so don't want to pay tons for the basketsHow about a nice gift bag with tissue paper?Or a normal cardboard box covered nicely in fancy paper?Do you think that'd work?

both idea would work fine - i prefer to see the hamper 'set out' in a basket rather than a gift bag tho myself.
in wiklinsons they sell a pack of two plastic baskets for £1.50 - i have used these before in hampers by adding a few layers of tissue paper around it, so you cant see the plastic. they are sturdy enough to use for this afterwards too (i have one in the bathroom with the kids toys in)Mummy to ds 29/12/06 dd 10/2/08 ds 25/5/11:Amy angel born too soon 18/11/12, always with me Emmie Faith:A15 projects in 2015 10/15completed0 -
Hiya have been lurking, but saw this & wondered if it would work for quite light hampers instead of a basket?

If you sign up to recieve emails from vistaprint there always sending out emails with free items, you can order a maximum of 4 items at free, must be from same email, but they do mugs, I ordered football mug with name on it, part of a 4 item order, items free paid £6 or so for p+p.
Also worth looking at halfcost - web based site, basically sell items from studio, ace, betterware, and they have lots of items football related, sometimes theres postage offers, they have new stock in on a Friday. I've been ordering from them for about 2 or 3 yrs had some brilliant bargains. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Been looking here for ideas, which has been a bit of a mistake as it means spending more money!
I bought my nephews & niece a games compendium a couple of years ago (think I managed to get in WH Smith sale the previous Jan on sale!) and sil said it was the best thing they had ever received. As they weather was so bad, they could not go back to school and once the neighbours kids heard about it, and the roads could be gingerly walked on (in country so no footpaths!) they pitched up every day for competitions, winner of each game moved on to the next. Kept them all quiet for hours
Not sure if anyone wants to avail, but Sainsburys have boxes of Eclairs at half price, £2, at the moment. May be worth having as a spare gift and, although there is chocolate in them, there is a chewy element which is divine!A smile costs little but creates much0
