i guess its either tesco deliveries as its a store so tesco would be the ones to complain to0 -
Hmm ... £1,000 fine, with both the driver and owner/operator being liable. If you get nothing out of Tesco head office, report it to both the local police force and trading standards (as they're the ones that enforce the restrictions) and the local authority (to be sure), preferably with photographic evidence..?0
-
Do make sure you photograph the nice Tesco drivers themselves - the store/depots might have prohibited using these roads but the drivers might be ignoring instructions ...0

Typical of Tesco riding roughshod over everyone! We should all stop using them, we have since they made the council take the recycling containers away, they now have their own and make a nice profit from them whilst the council struggles and makes cuts! Vent over.0

That is the plan now, I have installed a camera for said purpose.
However the three of us who went to complain to the manager are the local GP, a police officer and the vicar... So not exactly the type to make it up.
Why do these professions make the evidence anymore credible than any other profession? You need video evidence to back at your claim so once you've gained some send a CD to the Tescos manager and let him know you've also contacted head office.0 -
If you look at the back of the lorry there is usually an extra plate like a number plate with the initials of the depot and the wagon number, eg DON 51324 would be Doncaster wagon 51324. If you complain to the depot manager, rather than the store, you might get something done as they will have direct control over the drivers unlike the store manager who would be able to do nothing but forward it to the depot manager. If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550

That is the intention at the moment, thankfully there have been no instances while I have been at home.knightstyle wrote: »Typical of Tesco riding roughshod over everyone! Actually Tesco here is normally quite good, we are a small village community and the store is well integrated into the village life, they support a lot of good causes locally and often donate to activities run by the village council. Why do these professions make the evidence anymore credible than any other profession? If you cannot see why three people in these positions of responsibility would be more credible then I think you need to readdress your way of thinking.
I cannot imagine a situation in which we would conspire together to raise a complaint with Tesco about lorries breaking the law and endangering the public and property.
I have indeed contacted their head office and will be compiling a record of their infractions that will then be passed on to the local police, and council.
Tesco have had their chance to rectify the situation and they (in the form of the local manager) denied it had ever happened. It must be accepted as a principle that the rifle cannot replace the speed of the horse, the magnetism of the charge and the terror of cold steel.

Thank you that is of great use to me.
The store manager was a knob to be frank who denied it happens. It must be accepted as a principle that the rifle cannot replace the speed of the horse, the magnetism of the charge and the terror of cold steel.

.
At the same time they have closed down the high street, practically bribed the local councils and screwed over all their suppliers....
Sorry, but it is a Tesco rant thread  and I dont like them.
Sounds like the depot is your solution though, although I do hope the vicar and the doctor aren't shopping for groceries on line and in fact it is street deliveries0 -
are GP's, bobbies & vicars more likely to be honest than anyone else?
Am I more likely to tell fibs because I'm just an engineer?0
