I will tape them off my vinyl versions for you :j
That's very kind of you to offer.
I have vinyl downloads but it's the real digital articles/products I would like in my hand(as a serious collector).
    Thanks though:)

Thats why you should always buy vinyl and take good care of it.. Ive even got a few of the old TOTPs comps from the late 70s early 80s knocking about too. Cassette was such a bad medium.
    .

I wouldn't say it was totally a bad medium, it was just inconsistent. Mind you a lot of vinyl produced in th 70's/early 80's was inconsistent as well. They were using recycled vinyl due to the oil shortages (virgin/new vinyl was very expensive as a raw material>
The pre-recorded cassette quality did improve dramatically in the late 80's early nineties as majority were made with chrome tape, precision housings and improved duplicating technology. It is EMI who has let down the durability of pre-recorded cassettes due to using their own brand of tape in production, which is now failing right across the board. All of my remaining pre-recorded cassettes play as good as the day they were bought (and sound excellent). All the EMI ones are useless, the tape has become sticky and won't play. A lot of people are reporting this, it's even demonstarted on YOUTUBE:(

I could have sworn they released them all a few years back, I'm sure I almost bought Now 6 on cd (cos that was my first now on vinyl) I am puzzled now - was it all a dream???
edited to say I have just checked on google and would have been buying the US version! What a surprise that would have been! Don't the millenium editions cover all the originally listed songs?

That' right the USA versions are available but they are single discs with more up to date track listings.
The millenium series covers some tracks but even some of those are different versions (different mixes etc)

The record industry is far too busy complaining about piracy to actually listen to what customers require. They'll be the authors of the own failure.

You are right. I was recently asked by Universal to take part in feedback forum called speakerbox. They said this was an opportunity to carve the future of the record company and give the customers what they would really like. Amazing how many people still prefer to have a hard copy product as opposed to digital download and how many people would like to see more archive releases/reissues. However Universal must have had their blinkers on and earplugs in place as they were just ignoring these mass views and trying to train speakerbox members into their way of thinking. I pulled out as it was a waste of time and just a back door to introducing bands that they have spent money on and can't get a return. The reason they can't get a return ofcourse is because joe public doesn't want to listen to them. No the wonder they are struggling.:(

You come across as a serious Now Music fan, so you may be able to answer a query for me!

I used to have a spreadsheet that contained all of the Now albums (had it 2-3 years ago I think). However, I appear to have sadly lost access to it now :(

Do you have a copy of it by chance?? (I originally for it from somewhere on the net, but I can not remember where, and I seem to recall i paid a couple of quid for the download or something as well).

Hope you manage to contact EMI and convince them to look into releasing some of the older albums onto CD.

Should probably be able to find out that sort of information on Wikipedia - would require a lil bit of effort in copy & paste terms, but should save spending "a couple of quid"

I am a serious Now fan ( by the way I have had to register as a new poster as my original name got banned _ dont' know why?).
I don't have the spreadsheet but I can tell you anything you want to know.
I have since posting my original message developed a set of cd replicas using digital tracks from my 10,000 genuine cd collection. See my website (retro-discs. com) replicas are to the EXACT track and artwork specifications.

Can I say what a good job you have done with your website and making your replicas. Can I ask how much you are charging for your replicas as I would be interested in buying them. How did you get the covers so bright and just brilliant. They look like they are out of a shop and been made by emi.
