What makes you say that the camera is better? gsmarena say that the camera is shocking (not after an argument, just an observation).
me??
I read the camere was better on the new ZTE Skate coming out soon, not the one on the current Blade (OSF), have no idea if its true or not, just read it somewhere0 -
1Jim, yes you! as I said not trying to get into an argument, I bought one at Xmas when I trashed my old iPhone and I thought that the camera was not good (but this is my own opinion not those of the OSF tribe!)'Just because its on the internet don't believe it 100%'. Abraham Lincoln.
I have opinions, you have opinions. All of our opinions are valid whether they are based on fact or feeling. Respect other peoples opinions, stop forcing your opinions on other people and the world will be a happier place.0 -
So the OSF wins on screen size, screen density and price. The Optimus One wins on stock ROM as it comes with 2.2 but as there is such a strong community behind the OSF there are numerous ROMs available including 2.3
Both phones are matched on the processor and camera.
In my opinion the fact that the OSF has an infinity better screen and is a good £50.00 cheaper than the Optimus makes it the clear winner.
In my view, a phone with an inferior spec that is working beats a phone that doesn't work. So, if the OSF has any longevity problems, then that is a major problem. But I await OP's replies to questions.0 -

yes but I was refering to the camera on the new ZTE Skate, not the camera on the OSF, my comments were meant to alert the op that there was a new zte coming out soon and that it was bigger and had a "better camera" than that on the OSF
I really wouldnt try and compare the OSF with an iphone though....I mean play fair, have you seen the difference in price?
I do own an OSF, to be honest the camera is ok, I think I used it once when I first got it, but to be honest I use my proper camera when I take photos so camera quality is not an issue for me....but saying that if I had paid iphone prices I would expect a significantly better product
I too would like to find out why OP's phone has broken, I have had mine since last year (september I think) and still going strong despite if falling several times from worktops etc and 2 young children being over enthusiastic with AngryBirds. To be honest though if mine broke now I would be getting Orange to replace it0 -

I think you might be jumping the gun a little to assume that there is some form of OSF build quality crisis just because one person reports that their phone has died. ZTE in their wisdom decided it would be profitable to sell more than one unit...
I have an OSF...it is working.0 -
i've had my OSF since december 2010...flashed with various roms & so far NO issues mentioned at all.We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

The screen on the ZTE Skate might be physically bigger at 4.3 inches but the screen quality is going to be pretty poor compared to the Blade (OSF). The OSF and the Skate both have a 480x800 pixel display, so all the skate does is stretch those pixels into a larger area so the quality deteriorates.
The processor is only 200MHz more which makes it pretty poor for a phone that isn't going to be less than £150.00
Basically the only real improvement on the skate is that it will support Adobe Flash with its ARMv7 processor and a marginally better camera (with a flash).0 -
Thats interesting to see, I like my osf and dont have any plans to trade onwards yet..... do need to think about changing rom soon though when I get time to sit down and concentrate properly on it0
