I rationalized that my new shoes shouldn't be punished just because I can't budget

Have pinched this off something at work - but I love it!

Ok, so it's a new month, and 3 weeks to hols :j Money is going to be really tight this month but I have drawn out cash and will see how I go just using that. In reality, it's only a 3 week month as I am away for the last week (which is already budgeted separately). Need to focus on diet and exercise, starting SlimFast today and will find a way to exercise :o I am also going to make an appointment to speak to HR and see if i have any options workwise

  • sounds like a great start to the month.

you have helped kick me into action too on the exercise front, I have let things slide and need to get back into it as I always feel better when I do lots.

Just trying to decide whether I will go back to Shred again or keep going with Davina...or do both and alternate.

good luck :) and great step on exploring your work options!

Stuck to the diet but have ended up with a headache! Went for a sunbed on the way home too

Just ordered my car tax online - cleaned out my car account but it's fab to have it saved for - some MSE stuff is sinking in! ;)

Second day sticking to the diet - but have a headache again :(

I have a free weekend - and I'm determined not to waste it! I have realised that I waste loads of time, on the internet, watching carp TV etc and that's why nothing gets done! :o Not decided whether it's going to be jobs or fun or a combination of the two, but certainly not wasted!

I've decided that I would like a Kindle and I have £131 worth of Amazon vouchers with my Nectar points so well on the way to £152 I need - little target to aim for :D

    Seconded although ...

I would suggest that you go & check out the kindle in real life before you buy. I had a look at one in pc world recently & was very surprised at how small the screen was & therefore how few words appear as opposed to having 2 pages of a book to read before flicking over to the next 2.

I read quickly so it would drive me mad, Just personal preference though :)

I love the idea of using the Amazon vouchers for a Kindle. I thought about that but I'm not sure I want one.

    Today I have
    • cleaned and tidied the kitchen and living room
    • done 2 loads of washing
    • done an exercise DVD
    • baked a batch of cup cakes
    • stuck to my diet (apart from some cake mixture :p)
    • had my nails done
Am really chuffed with myself for not wasting the day for a change. I got up at 8am instead of lying in bed all morning so have got loads done!

Am doing an old Weightwatchers/Claire Sweeney DVD which is broken down into 5 minute routines, and you have to do 30 per week (I have 4 credits so far this week)

Have been and had a set of acrylic nails - I wasn't getting on with gel and was bored with coloured nails so have gone back to acrylic. Went to my usual girl but they were on offer @ £20 so am chuffed with that :)

No non-essential spending and all spending in cash so a good day all round

Have stuck to my diet but I am feeling really bloated :( Don't think I will have lost much/anything when I weigh in on Wednesday if I still feel like this. No headache today though!

Going to bed soon with my book, and planning for another productive day tomorrow :D
