You told me I'm foolish and dense...you've lost.
Although name calling is not a good idea, I think in this case there was some justification since you've spent ages arguing over something when you evidently didn't read the OP properly.
And, I'm afraid that you are the one who has lost, pretty comprehensively, mainly because you've been arguing on the basis of things that didn't happen. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
The OP arrive just as the store was opening....Y/N
If the answer is Y....how can the OP or anyone make a comment on anything that nobody actually witnessed?
Read this part of the OP's post.I got to Argos just as it opened and there was a large queue, we were all waiting, when we saw 2 people just walk into the storeI try to help as much as I can. But I'm also honest and speak my mind.

...I read that...yes. The OP arrived as the store was opening....YES!...the people he saw entering the store could have been in the queue earlier and been allowed to enter the store and go back to queue is the point I'm making.
THE OP can not arrive at the last minute and join a long queue and suss out what has happened in the previous 1, 2 or 3 hours surely.0 -

unless the OP had some kind magical power to see into the past0 -

If this was true then why did that person then admit to it and give up his ticket?I try to help as much as I can. But I'm also honest and speak my mind.

...because they genuinely were waiting in the queue to buy something other than the TV perhaps and passed the ticket back to those who wanted it?
My point is how can anyone turning up at the last moment and join a long queue, just as the store is opening be aware who was where/doing what before they arrived at the last minute...IMHO they can't.....but then I'm foolish and dense apparently.0 -
....what's MSE's policy about being nice to MSE members?0

Gonna have to agree with Moglex here Gordi. You're clearly wrong but you won't accept it so are clutching at straws.
...I wasn't clutching at straws I was giving an example of when it could be argued a queue wasn't physically a queue. ie management saying come in and browse and here's a token/promise that you'll still retain your place in the queue.0 -

Why would someone join a queue to buy a TV when they're not actually going to buy the TV? The guy admitted they pushed in the queue, what part of that don't you understand?I try to help as much as I can. But I'm also honest and speak my mind.
