...because they genuinely were waiting in the queue to buy something other than the TV perhaps and passed the ticket back to those who wanted it?

My point is how can anyone turning up at the last moment and join a long queue, just as the store is opening be aware who was where/doing what before they arrived at the last minute...IMHO they can't.....but then I'm foolish and dense apparently.

....what's MSE's policy about being nice to MSE members?

I've seen at least three people try and explain this to you.

And yet you keep coming back for yet another pop.

People should be nice but you're just wasting a lot of people's time banging on and on about a version of events that you've made up in your own head and are being too stubborn to let go.

    One last time.

The OP arrived and joined the queue. Thus he could see everyone in the queue ahead of him

He then saw two other people arrive and they did not join the queue but entered the shop directly. Note that he did not say that they left the queue to enter the shop.

A little while later they were given tickets even though they had avoided the queue.

It really is that simple. No need to look into the past or guess that the couple in question drifted here there and everywhere. It's all quite clear in the OP.

...I wasn't clutching at straws I was giving an example of when it could be argued a queue wasn't physically a queue. ie management saying come in and browse and here's a token/promise that you'll still retain your place in the queue.

Now you're drifting even further into the realms of fantasy!

Why do you insist on creating a fantasy version of events when we have the real one to work with?

Someone said you were trolling earlier and I have to say your current behaviour is making it look more and more as if they were correct.

Why would someone join a queue to buy a TV when they're not actually going to buy the TV? The guy admitted they pushed in the queue, what part of that don't you understand?

....it was a queue to get into Argos...for multiple offers....hence the long queue and the Manager getting to just before the OP (in the long queue) with the last of the 5 vouchers for the TV. The woman disputed that they had 'pushed in' the man did not..what part of that don't you understand?

What part of 'We saw 2 people walk into the store' and therefore they weren't in the queue, don't you understand? Get a grip man! You've lost this. Stop posting or at least try harder to come up with something that doesn't condradict what you said earlier.

Where does the OP say they could see the people walk in directly?

Where do they say they could see the beginning of the long queue?

You're being deliberately obtuse, again. rolleyes.gif

It's quite common for people to deny anti-social behaviour of which they are guilty but it's very uncommon for someone to admit to anti-social behaviour of which they are not guilty.

Why would they take TV voucher if they did not want the TV?

Why would the man have given up the voucher if he had been entitled to it?

And what has any of this go to do with the fact that the OP saw the couple arrive at the shop and enter without ever joining the queue?

I said earlier that people should be nice but, quite honestly, you would try the patience of a saint!

..no because they didn't say that!

    What they said was:-

....we saw 2 people just walk into the store.
