Hi, can I join too please. I weigh myself on Mondays so if I can put my weight down then (or probably Tuesday as we're planning a day out on Monday).

I've joined WW online and feel that I am only loosely following the plan because I don't get the guidance from classes but don't want to join a class. My ultimate goal is to get fitter and I know I have to lose weight to do this. We go to Orlando in October and I need to be able to withstand the pace of walking around the theme parks. I have upped my exercise - am using Wii Fitness Coach - Get in Shape, Wii Zumba and Rosemary Conley Fat Attack. I am close to my first 5% loss goal but would be chuffed to lose 7lbs in June overall.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I've just reported my final May weigh on the May thread so my sw for this one is 145.5. Looking forward to getting back on track this month - first dress fitting 11 June
  • Hi everyone, I'm in again :cheesy: (loving the smilie!) My SW is 132.5lbs, lost 4lbs in May & have been exercising a lot & am really noticing the benefits already! 7lbs in June would be great & mean I will feel much more confident in a swimming cozy.

mango I've just been setting 7lb targets so I don't get disheartened - I want to lose 20lbs overall (I'm only tiny!). I also joined WW and find if you can follow it it works & does allow me to have crisps when I want them real bad!

good luck guys will be back next week :cool2:

My goal with this is to get back into some lovely clothes I have. I usually get so far then I revert back to old habits. My downfall? The vending machine at work!!!! If anyone has any tips to help avoid this let me know!
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

I like the flexibility of this plan also. I aim to eat 5 points each for breakfast and lunch leaving me ample points for my main meal at night together with any other snacks that are not fruit though I am eating mainly fruit and only having another kind of snack 2-3 times a week. As said before I'm completely off alcohol. I'm also now finding some sweet food disagreeable. Bought some double chocolate minirolls yesterday as treats for myself and they are so sweet and sickly I won't have anymore.

Don't take any change to work with you! I try to keep my purse empty and only eat the food I take in with me. In my workplace there is a trolley that comes round mid-morning with sandwiches and snacks on it. She does sell some fruit but mostly sandwiches, chocolates and crisps. I forgot that I had to go out at lunchtime one day last week and knew I would be pushed for time to sit down and eat my salad so bought a sandwich from her. I know I didn't make the best possible choice in choosing the egg mayo but in my defence it was on brown bread and I'd tried a turkey one before I joined WW and it was so dry and horrible that I considered egg mayo to be ok as it couldn't have been dry to taste. When I pointed it later I could only put it in as a generic egg mayo sandwich and it came in at 10PPs hence why I try not to buy from there anymore.

I'm finding the new WW a bit of a pain to learn - not enjoying it as much as the old system. I'm almost thinking it might be easier to do slimming world...what does everyone else think?
  • what do u find difficult about it? I don't find it hard, just need to make sure I weigh pointed foods & take a salad for lunch to go with everything!

I guess its having to learn new points values - also, you have to eat much more protein, whereas before it didn't matter how you mixed carbs and protein. I am finding myself hungry a lot of the time...by bedtime i could eat my left arm i am so peckish...

Ok I have found that I have salad with everything so lunch & salad, dinner with salad & vegetables.

an average day looks like this:

B: branflakes & banana, soya milk, 2x coffee & sweetner

L: hm soup & salad & ham or egg/1 slice WM bread & cream cheese, egg salad, ww fromage frais/jelly

S: apple, 2 satsumas, grapes, ww chocolate bar, coffee

D: have made some recipes from online spicy turkey meatballs is fab, with a portion of rice or potatos x 1.5 or 2, lots of veg & of course a salad! & then either a desert (canned fruit & greek yogurt) or some wine :T

I'm eating loads! WM carbs are less pointy than white. I bulk out rice with stir fry veg but steamed IYSWIM? & I also make sure I snack on my fruit when the snack feelings start to come & don't let it turn to full blown hunger

do you have the monthly plan so you can find the recipes? I'm making the strawberry cheese cake later mmmmmmm

how are you using your weekly points?
