OK this should be the quilt...... I hope, not a good photo could have done with more light.
That is breathtakingly beautiful. Speaking as someone that does a lap of honour if I manage to sew a button on(and THAT dosen't happen often!) I am speechless with admiration.

Tootles, that is stunning quilt. You have a real talent & I wish I could afford to commission you to do one for me!

AussieLass - vegemite? You want to be spending your money on a decent set of thermals instead :D

BRzl, glad the pans have turned up. One better than my DW which is still nowhere to be seen

Tootles, I :heart2: your quilt. I'm not a big fan of quilts generally, but I would be love to have that on my bed! And it would look better than the sleeping bag we are currently using for extra warmth :)

Have just checked my mixer and *it works*!!!! Yaaay! So, I'm about to make a big pot of broccoli and blue cheese soup. Other than that, I'm at a bit of a loose end...
Ebay listings - could do, but on a 7 day listing, its cutting it a bit fine for Christmas
Job Apps - could do, but seeing as I'll be immediately asking for time off over Christmas, I may as well just wait until Jan - but then I risk there not being any work!!

I think I'll go into town to take some lights back, pick up tags and ribbon and finish wrapping the presents I currently have. And possibly make OHs stocking.

Dinner wise - OH steadfastly refused to eat the leftover saus and bean stew yesterday, saying it made him ill (it didnt, he wasnt ill until several hours after he'd eaten it), so I put it in the freezer. Today he announces thats just what he fancies

    Breakfast: Yoghurt, honey and peaches
Lunch: Broccoli and Blue Cheese Soup
    Dinner: Hmm...

    Afternoon everyone

Happy anniversary Mr & Mrs Penny-Pincher

    Fabulous quilt tootles

anniestar I've just had to rescue small black cat from clutches of big evil black & white cat. He's nasty really as he's young and B I G and she's 18 years old and small and tender. Grrrr. Oh, and he frequently launches attacks at mine and penninewoman's legs and feet when they're bare. . . . . .

    onestep - happy birthday

Up at 6:15 and sorted B I G cat out but he wouldn't go out as it was lashing down with rain and we are rather exposed at the back of the house so don't blame him.

Made penninewoman's wholemeal, home-made toast and tried to let her out but she didn't want to go either as it was still lashing down with rain and she had two huge cardboard file-holders to get out to car without anything blowing away or falling in the lakes around the house. Yeah, I know I should have pulled some clothes on and helped her . . . . but I did bring them in from the car last Friday . . . that should count?

Went upstairs to get towel for shower and made mistake of lying down on bed with small cat . . . . two hours later I woke up and finally had that shower. :o

Then got around to posting the "'80s school" batch of cards adding an extra one that I'd forgotten before I did.

Just noticed that someone has washing out opposite!! It must be warm.

    washing2.jpg

To get back to my day so far.

Went down town to Post Office to get more stamps but the queue was out of the door so decided to go back later. Drew some more cash out of the wall and then collected £7 of shopping from Co-op.

Back home and read a bit of Guardian and then up here with tea and biccies. Really must make some flapjacks but then I'd have to eat them . . . .:D

Enough, need to think about lunch.Baked potato I guess with salady things.

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone. :)

    Afternoon all.

    Happy anniversary PP:beer:

Hugs Moggins. If you can cope with cancer you can cope with your DH. Sometimes people say silly things when faced with a lot of people, hopefully this was just one of these. Totally unacceptable of course, but I'm sure he still loves you.

    Happy birthday onestep.

Need to sort out my spreadsheets - been spending soooo much for christmas (little bit here, little bit there) that I've not been writing it alldown. It's kind of in my head but I need the discipline to get it all sorted out.

Got to dig some fishcakes out of the freezer for dinner. Then DS has to set to his christmas cards when he gets out of school (Shh don't tell him I haven't done mine yet!):o

Actually got some washing on the line today - it's cold but it's windy so I should get the sheets dry. DS only has one sheet so it's got to be dry for tonight. He ain't sleeping with me - too much of a fidget.:D

Tootles - If I'm a really good girl will you make me a quilt. You're forgiven for being away for so long if that's what you were up to.;)

    p

Just made a batch of scones - they're in the oven and the smell is wafting up the stairs.
