Morning All - Hope we are all Ok.

Moggins good for you giving him the cold shoulder, evidently he must be pretty thick to understand why? Or very insensitive to realise the comment made was out of order and doesn't realise what he said has upset you. Hope you get it sorted soon

    Happy Anniversary Pen-Pin

What a horrible morning - I bet OH has got wet thru walking to work.

W**k this morning. Staying an extra hr again. 1 girl still off sick. At least I got 2mr off work, DD is "Mary" AGAIN in her school nativity play. Your'e lucky if you get chosen once - but Twice!!! Really proud of her

Kids really enjoyed camping, and the Scouts played a trick on DS, he fell asleep with his legs hanging out of the sleeping bag, so the scouts decided to cover him with toothpaste - he took it in good fun, I couldn't stop laughing.

Not much else to report for now, so will finish off here for now and catch up with you all later
Take care everyone - have a lovely day
    Love as usual

    Hello all,
    another cold ,wet,blustery one here.
Its biscuit baking day but i've got loads of cleaning to be get on with too and I haven't wrapped up the pressies yet.
I need to find something big enough to hold a gallon of gingerbeer too.
Last year we saved some pop bottles to put it in but we haven't had any pop this year so I'll have to think of something else.
Its the last week of college for my 2. DD is relieved as she has a bit of a cold but its A levels when they come back in Jan so she doesn't want to miss anything.DS would rather go than stay at home as he wants to get as much cramming in as possible for his A2's.
Its been rotten in town lately. It always gets too crowded and you are being elbowed and jolted, just walking down the street.I'll be glad when the shopping days are over and we are actually at Christmas day!
I bought my turkey in Sainsbury's on friday as they had medium birds for £7 ,much better than the £14 I spent on one last year.
I got 2 tubs of reduced cream in Asda which went straight in the freeezer.
Haven't made the cake yet so have that to do this week too and still got to make things for the cracker treats and cracker jokes. I think the cooking and crafting are the best bit of Christmas.
Well Im not even dressed yet so better plough on

Anyone want to take a guess at what time my dishwasher is being delivered today? Supposedly anytime between 8am & 6pm. We could have a sweepstake - bottle of stardrops for the winner :D :rotfl:

Had a MASSIVE cupboard clear out last night, not just food but pots, pans, crockery, glasses, the works and then re-organised it into a sensible order. It's much better, but is going to take me months to work out where everything is kept!

Hugs to everyone, esp Mr & Mrs PP - Happy Anniversary :kisses2:
will be back later on I'm sure

    Morning all

What a horrible one - could hardly stand up on the way to the post office this morning - luckily a friend picked DD's up and dropped them to school - Although their backpacks full of assorted christmas cards, hats, pressies, clothes for dress rehersals etc would weight them down.

I made a lovely simple chicken liver pate over the weekend - reciepe on the BBC web site - turned out well - very pleased - only took about 20 mins to prepare too so a nice easy one to whip up the day before Christmas eve.

The tree is up, DD's have decorated their rooms too - just turned the lights on, on the tree and typically one set of lights has just blown... There's 4 sets on there so will take me ages to find which bulb has gone..might just cheat and wrap some more round :D

Did the big Christmas food shop this weekend - got everything now apart from the turkey (need a bit more room in the freezer) and the fresh fruit/veg/cream. Feel I can finally relax into it a bit more now. I'm all menu planned for the entire time we've got guests too.

Will find the bottom of the ironing pile today, wrap a few more pressies and relax with a huge pot of tea and Bridget Jones DVD before the school run. SC is on with chicken bones from last night and need to make a chicken pie for tea.

    Have a good one all.

    Happy anniversary to Penny-Pincher!!!

((((hugs)))) to Amanda666 and those that need them. Have you considered joining a local group? My local free paper often advertises things like veg gardeners society or the local wine club etc? - just a thought

Not much sleep was had in the PauliesGirl household last night, my brother came off his motorbike and was admitted to hospital late last night. Fortunately just a concussion and a few broken fingers, but obviously dashing to hospital, frantic phone calls...

And I'm off today, you'd think we'd catch up on the Zzzzz, but no, had to take evil picolax stuff in prep for tomorrows camera test. I've NEVER known cramps like it. Can someone give me a hug?! :)

Anyway, enough moaning - the sky is blue here, hope the sunniness spreads to you all, and you can get the washing dry!!!

    Much love to all,

    PG
  • Morning everybody :hello:

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY PP AND MR PP!!!! :j :j

moggins - Haven't read the weekend's threads so haven't seen what's gone on with your OH, but sounds like you could do with a ((((hug)))) anyway.

Well, as a result of the weekend I feel *almost* rested - but still reeeeeally looking forward to having a whole week-and-a-bit off over Christmas/New Year.

I sang in a choir concert yesterday afternoon and on the way there I carried out another raid on the TK Maxx homewares department :D (there isn't one immediately near where I live, but I realised there was one on the way to where I had to go yesterday, so I made the most of the chance!) Picked up 4 scatter cushions, a set of bedlinen, a pair of pyjamas, some kitchen towels and a really cosy blanket for the sofa so I can snuggle while watching TV - spent a little over £90 but it was all stuff I knew I needed.

Saucepans should be arriving by about tomorrow, I should think, after which I will have NO excuse not to cook for myself properly again. Am sick of ready meals (even the yellow-stickered ones) and can't afford to keep my local Chinese in business single-handedly! :o I really hope they do arrive today or tomorrow (the latest should be Wed as I ordered them last Wed and it was supposed to be within 5 working days) because I'm having them delivered to work, and because of the weight it will take at least 2, possibly 3 trips to get them home from the office on the bus.

Phone still isn't connected - they found a fault on the line on Friday and are hoping to get it sorted out today

Got to go, I'm making a presentation to senior management at lunchtime  and like the good Girl Guide that I am (I dropped out!) I have to Be Prepared...

    Love Rzl xx

Managed to get all the Christmas gifts wrapped yesterday and I have all the non-perrishable food bought and only half a dozen hand delivered cards to send out but I'm going to wait for better weather before I start trudging arround the village.

Well! and hours paid2clicking calls - have a good day one and all, especially Mr & Mrs PP - have a great anniversary:T
