    Hi Woo,

It wasn't a very pleasant call at all. It was quite obvious that they had no idea that the creditor had had an arrangement with me and they were none too amused. I'm not surprised at all to hear that the agreement means nothing now the debt has been sold. She says as it will take weeks for it to get sorted with my DMC they might still take legal action against me and I wouldn't pay a holding payment to stop that happening (mainly cos I don't have it and my DMC told me not to). Then she offered me a F&F which was not an option at the amount quoted (either now or in the future) and she attempted to go down the road of giving me a row for taking out a loan and then not paying it back. It's the truth of course and I'm not proud of it but I hate being asked by folk what it is that went wrong and why I reneged on our agreement.

Anyway, I have done it now, deep sigh of relief it's over and you're right, it will be lovely to see my friend at the weekend x

I do really feel for you Jules, that's horrible. You are trying to pay it back, hence you want to come to an arrangement with them through your DMP.

It's done now though and out of your hands, hopefully they will quit ringing etc x

Thanks Woo, I just hope that my DMP and them come to an agreement. But you're right, it's out of my hands now so I will just need to wait and see what happens.

Anyway, I am off to have my tea - leftover spag bol, food always cheers me up :rotfl: x

    Morning All,

It's Friday and the sun is shining!! I am in a great mood this morning (I shouldn't be with all that has gone on plus some really irritating work stuff that's going on) but I am!

The adorable 4 year old has been staying with us all week which is a first for us and I am v proud to say he has left the house every morning fed, watered, washed and properly dressed plus the house is tidy (it is a revelation to me that it is possible to do that with a child in residence). Plus we have spent hardly any money this week but we've had petrol in the car and food in the house.

As soon as OH is paid next week I am going to pay eBay then get relisting (that jacket is going to sell) and then pay my student loan and a tiny bit of gas arrears and then we are back on track. I can't wait to get them all paid and sorted.

Life is good - I have 8.5 hours of work to get through and then I have a weekend with my boys and I get to see my best friend too. Who needs bags of money when the best things in life are free :)

    Happy Friday everyone x

    Hi Jules,

Just wanted to pop in and say hi! Have enjoyed reading your diary and have subscribed :D

I started a dmp with payplan back in 2007 and debts were 64k, now hovering around 34k so it's amazing how quickly they start to come down. I deal with my creditors myself now, personal choice but it's scary when you first set out and couldn't have done it without payplan. I would advise perhaps once things settle that you speak to a non fee organisation, i'm sure the transfer from one to other wouldn't be too hard as the payments will all be set up just coming from another source i.e. payplan or cccs.

    Have a good Friday!

    Choc x

Hi Choc, thanks for subscribing and also for the advice on the plan. That is very good to know how quickly your's have come down. You must feel really chuffed at having achieved that. I have often wondered if in a couple of years' time I should do it myself or I was advised before on this thread to switch to a non-fee based one too.

Definitely food for thought. And actually reading about people like yourself who are successfully clearing larger amounts of debt gives me a wee boost to keep going when things go a wee bit off track as they have done this week :) so thanks again x
