Hi Jules,
I hope you are ok. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you. Here's to a lovely evening for you and your family!
:rotfl:How funny of your OH and little one raiding the jars for sweeties :rotfl:
Take care,
Choc x0 -
Thanks Choc, I'm ok. It's hard but tonight will be nice if that makes sense. Anyway, it will be lovely and we'll have a happy time when we all meet up tonight
It was extremely funny when I caught the pair of them, it was a close call as to who looked the most guilty :rotfl:

Morning All,
It's payday and as predicted, I am overdrawn! I got an email this morning from them telling me I was too late and so they took the full amount. I have called a couple of times and hopefully we will get it sorted so I am not too down about it, I think it will be ok.
I have updated my spreadsheet with all today's payments and I am at 10.4% paid off, woohoo! I love getting to update my spreadsheet
Our meal went very well last night, lots of laughter and remembering good times. The only issue I have is, could someone explain how the driver (me) woke up this morning feeling hungover? It's a first for me to feel like that with no alcohol consumed! I think I may have the start of a bug because as well as a pounding headache, my arms and legs are achy and I feel like I had no sleep at all. So I have come into work armed with my trusty paracetemol!
Hope everyone has a good day,

Glad you had a nice meal Jules, that's a lovely way to remember your Dad x

Hey Jules,
Glad you all had a lovely evening and I hope the bug has left you alone. So many going around at the minute.
How are you getting on with the debt company and money they took?
I need to start thinking about a spreadsheet - at the moment I have a diary dedicated to all my balances/payments....not that organsied yet!I have however opened a separate cash card acc with bank so I can allocate spends per month to this and then not touch my main banking. I'm hoping this will start to make me more aware of exactly what I am spending/wasting and control things better.
Have a good day

Hello All,
I've not been on here for ages - but I haven't given up on my efforts to get debt free! I was away with work for a fortnight with no internet access and then had some time off with my OH. We didn't go anywhere (except wee day trips) but we agreed to lay off the online time and spend time together which was very nice.
We spent very little money at all but still had a good time (and I got a tan lying in the park soaking up the sun!)
So we are back to the grind now and I am relishing the prospect of getting stuck in to my spreadsheet again. I never did get it sorted with the company about the F&F and just had to pay it and be poor (I always am anyway and at least it was another wee bit paid off).
I was doing very well with my £2 jar but raided it to buy my OH trainers. He only has one pair of work shoes and one pair of trainers and the toe cap came off one of the trainers. So I took out £18 and bought him a pair. I am back up to £4 though so, not to worry, it will build up again soon.
Hope everyone is well, I will need to catch up on all the diaries I am subscribed to now.

Hello All,
I had a moment of excitement there, an email from the lottery with 'news about my ticket'. As I am still trying to get back on track from the disaster that was May/June (almost there, £200 in arrears with student loans but otherwise everything else is sorted), I was delighted, but also couldn't think what ticket it was for. It turns out I had 'plus 5'ed' my Saturday ticket without realising (the perils of playing online, had I been paying in a shop I would have noticed the extra pound being handed over)
Anyway, it was not a life changing moment, it was £2.50 for getting 3 numbers :rotfl: . OH said we'll try and stay grounded after our big win.
Ah well, I suppose it would have been too simple to win the dosh required to get back on track, hard slog it is thenOH has proposed that we blow £2 of it on a Euromillions ticket for tonight, I am inclined to agree with him as you have to have a minimum of a fiver in your lottery account before you can transfer it to your bank account, so I guess we may as well do that.
Hope everyone is having a good day. I am having an eerily quiet day at work, hence me having the time to investigate random emails from the lottery
