Can't believe your schools are back already - ours don't go back till about a week into September!
Glad that the student loan is sorted and that you can stop worrying nowDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
Thanks Beccie, I am very relieved
Our schools stop a lot earlier than in England so they were off for 6 or 7 weeks before they went back this week x0 -
Happy Friday All!!
It's finally sunny here and of course it's Friday so I am smiling
No more bids as yet on eBay but a big increase in the number of watchers so that's promising (I hope).
I moved £2 to my savings account this morning and I am aiming for a NSD (should be easily achieved as I came out without any dosh lol).
Have a good day all,
Jules x0 -
Hi Jules, thanks for the support on my thread. Well done on how you are managing your debt and the way you try to generate income. I tried ebay a few times and sold some stuff but I don't think i was that good at it (I forgot to put the correct P and P and ended up sending a bread maker in the post at a loss! durr)
Keep positive and take care

Hi there Jules
Just read through your thread. Well done on not giving up.
I would echo what others have said about investigating going with a fee free company regarding your DMP. If you are say paying £1000 a month to a DMP, and they take a 10% fee, then it is taking 10% longer to pay off your debt....
good luck with what you decide

Thanks guys, I really appreciate you popping on to my diary to say hello.
Chev, I have been giving it a lot of thought recently and as you say, taken a lot of good advice here on it too. I think I will do it, just a case of taking the plunge and doing it.
I am ebaying like mad at the moment Mike, I made daft mistakes when I first started too. I once sent a cow shaped toastie machine with insufficient packaging and it arrived in pieces at the buyer's address, that one generated a loss
But I will keep going as I am determined to get there!

Update on my weekend sales: £15 (2 dresses sold). My sig is duly updated and I have 2 weeks left of my personal challenge to go.
I am slightly bending the rules (it's my challenge so I can) and it's £200 in 4 weeks, not necessarily £200 from eBay alone - as I still have my Music Magpie stuff to deal with and I just realised I have hit £33 on One Poll so I am not far off a £40 payout there.
I changed all my eBay stuff to 7 days on auction, starting and ending on a Sunday night as Beccie gave me good advice on this before
I am seeing results already as I have a significantly higher amount of watchers this week and I still have about 5 days to go. Also, I have watchers on the expensive stuff (that leather jacket WILL sell this week lol).
On another note, I am hugely excited (my OH thinks it is hilarious) as ages ago I registered to be a Boots product tester and yesterday for the first time ever, a trial in my name changed from 'requested' to 'in progress'. So I might actually get something to test at home! There's no money in it, I am solely in it for the freebies. I have read up about it on here and I won't know if I have got it until I see the product on my door mat, so I'm telling you, the excitement will be almost too much to bear, going home every day to see if the postman has been, fingers crossed!
Hope everyone is having a good day,
Jules x0 -
Morning All,
No sign of any freebies in the post yet but I am ever hopeful!
My eBay money from the weekend is in so I put £1 in my savings from it.
The number of watchers is coming along nicely so I am feeling positive about the weekend. Last night (after 2 very frustrating days with One Poll) I sat and cleared loads of surveys on there (they must have had sorted whatever techie problems they were having) and now I am at just over £34, so not long to go, here's hoping for another batch of them through today.
Anyway, must get back to the grind. After days of quietly sitting doing my mail, I got a huge piece of work to do yesterday evening. I would be chuffed, except OH and I have been up most of the night with a sickness/tummy bug. I'm not sure why we dragged ourselves in to our respective offices but we did. Unfortunately a day of mooching around doing not much is not going to happen today, but maybe being busy will keep my mind off how my tummy is feeling
Hope you all have a good day,
Jules x0 -
Hope you feel better soon Jules x
Have you thought about joining the £10 a day challenge - lots of lovely people plus loads of inspiration for money making ideasDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
That's a good idea Beccie, thanks, I will pop over and have a look x0
