    Hi All,

An update for you on a rather interesting (and mental!) week.

I got back late last night after being away with work since Monday morning! My boss called me on Sunday afternoon, told me it was an emergency with an account and we would need to fly out on Monday. She has never pulled a stunt like that before (her previous best effort was late on a Friday night lol). So off we went to the airport at stupid o'clock on Monday morning.

I managed to escape her limpet like clutches on Tuesday afternoon and called my DMC. I explained the whole sorry tale and the rep listened patiently and then said she would have to refer it to a supervisor, which I suppose is fair enough. I got put on hold for a few ruinously expensive minutes (I was on my mobile) and then got told none were available and could they call me back. So I said that was fine but could they make sure to call my mobile as I was abroad. To which there was a lengthy pause, after which I explained hastily that I was not on holiday spending my money that I should have paid to them lol, I was actually away with work.Another pause, then she reluctantly agreed that they could phone me abroad. I am still waiting on the call! I wasn't too keen on calling again given how much it was costing. I got my bloke to check for calls at the house and I can check my office number through my laptop and as far as I can tell, there were no missed calls on either of those numbers.

So I guess it is fair to say that I am no further forward but I hope at least there is a record of me calling. I will just need to call again on Monday. I got no nasty letters either when I got back, but I guess there is still time for that!

Also, interestingly enough, I left my OH a note of the number that has constantly been calling and told him that was my DMC and to answer immediately if he saw a call from them. So he did when the number called and it is actually a PPI claims company! I just assumed it was my DMC as they have the same dialling code. So they haven't actually been calling me all the time as I thought they had.

Anyway, I have a huge pile of washing to do and some sleep to catch up on (tricky with the wee one here lol) and I need to catch up on diaries on here too. I think I managed on here once or twice and thanked a few comping posts and that was my lot!

So normal service will resume next week (I hope!) and funnily enough, my next payment to my DMC will go through as well.

In other MSE news, my OH has been super busy while I have been away and has changed our phone and TV suppliers and managed to save us a whopping £50 a month. I have told him I didn't think it was possible to love him any more than I did already but he might just have managed it with this one lol.

So, I better go and deal with the wee one, he is creating havoc as usual lol. Update on Monday when I eventually get to speak to a supervisor (I hope lol).

    Morning All,

Well I am swiftly losing any sanity that I may have left after this whole sorry debacle, hehe. I called this morning and asked for a supervisor. The girl on the phone quite rightly told me that I would need to explain to her why I needed a supervisor, so I explained the sorry tale again, to which she said, 'I know all that, it's on your file. And that you will be paying again this week.' So I said, ok, but the person I spoke to last week said this required to be referred to a supervisor, she said, not as far as I am concerned but I will make a note and one might call you back.

So I suppose it is good to know it was all recorded on my file ( my astronomical phone bill will have been worth it!). I guess if one phones me then that's fine and if not, I will make my payment and go back to usual (I hope!).

I hope everyone had a good weekend. I did not catch up on sleep as the adorable child woke me up at 6am yesterday as he wanted to play! But other than that it was good to be home and I appear to be staying in the UK all week, woohoo!

    Have a good day all,

    Hello All,

Well you may not be able to stand yet another twist in this tale, but I have one for you anyway! Today my DD to my DMC should have come off and it didn't! I only realised a little while ago as I am swamped at work (I am writing this whilst sitting on a 2 hour training call!) so I haven't been able to pick up the phone as yet but I will be as soon as I can. Whilst sitting on this call, I checked the mail I was sent by them (just incase I had misread or misunderstood anything) and it quite clearly says that they will present the DD on or just after the 6th of October and again on 6th November and this will continue until further notice.

So I am not going mad hehe. Anyway, I guess it could be coming off tomorrow but I would have preferred it to come off on the 6th as it always had, therefore showing that everything was back to normal.

I will keep you posted, the saga, as ever, continues :)

It may be that it goes midnight tonight, depending on your bank.

Fingers crossed it all comes good soon, it's been quite an epic story so far! :)
