I'm with Harrington Brooks. I keep wondering if I should change to the non-fee paying ones (I didn't even know about them when I started out) but I'm afraid it's partly laziness with me - incidents like this one are very few and far between, it runs very nicely and smoothly usually and I keep thinking I'll leave it as it was so awful getting it all set up, I don't want to go through all that again.

I would definitely change it if it is one of the fee paying ones!

Why not give CCCS a ring and just enquire as to how hard it is to move a DMP? I think once all the creditors have accepted they are getting reduced payments the hardest part is done? Could be wrong, as I don't know lots about DMPs!

Just would be nice to not pay a fee :)

Whew! Just spoke to DMC, the bank has been cashing the payments sent to them a month after the money is sent by my DMC. But apparently earlier this week they cashed payments so all is well again :)

    Afternoon All,

I am in a ridiculously good mood for a Monday, and there is no particular reason that I can think of, I am just happy today.

The weekend passed in a bit of a blur - OH was not well, culminating in an emergency appointment yesterday. He is fine now and has tablets which are helping and we both got a decent sleep last night for the first time in a few nights (maybe the reason for my good mood now I come to think of it).

We also had lots of other stuff needing done so without even realising it, we went the whole weekend and only spent £17 (bread, stuff for lunches and a couple of meals to keep us going). I thought that was quite good going.

So I am smiling my way through the day (I am quite sure there are people in here think I have turned mental as I never look quite so chirpy in the office as I do today) but until something happens to break my mood, that's how it will continue. Oh and we are on track for a NSD today too and I have a fab dinner to make when we get home (using up tons of leftover chicken from last night, with mushrooms, chopped tomatoes and pasta).

Hope everyone else is as cheery as I am today :D

    Hi Jules

Wonderful to hear you so cheery today :)

I really must stop being so glum all the time, I have nothing to moan about and yet I seem to have the disposition of Eeyore lately!

Well done on the minimal spending over the weekend x

Thanks guys, the sun is still shining and I had my fab tea and there is loads left for tomorrow's lunches.

Plus, I got a statement in for one of my old credit cards and I have paid off £100 more than I thought I had so the spreadsheet got a wee boost too.

    Great day all round x

Thanks Woo it was. I am still smiling this morning despite torrential rain and a nasty email from eBay regarding their fees. I am not getting worried about it because I can't fix it until I am paid anyway.

Plus I am looking at the bigger picture and I realised that this year so far I have cleared 9.1% of my debt and it's only June so I can put a much bigger dent in it by the end of the year :j

Hope everyone else has a good day

    Morning All,

Yesterday was a bit of an up and down day, hence why I didn't post. One of my payday loan companies in my DMP has got tired of waiting for me to pay it off every month and sold the debt to Equidebt who after reading a lot on the web, are not the nicest bunch to be mixed up with. It seems they must have just bought it as the calls and texts only started on Tuesday but already the dire threats of imminent action have started. I called my DMC who were fab and changed the payee details over to them and sent out a letter to them etc so fingers crossed they manage to sort it.

On the plus side, my best friend is home from Oz this weekend for the first time in a year. I have politely hinted that when we meet for lunch on Sunday it would be nice to do it at our house to keep costs down but I think she has other plans later on in the day so she can't come all the way out to where we stay. So I have trawled 5pm.com and found a 2 course lunch in the town for £5.95 (I think that is the cheapest I am going to get it). So if we do go into Glasgow, it won't be financially ruinous :)

Anyway, back to the grind, I am trying to pluck up the courage to call the debt collectors to tell them they are getting a letter from my DMC and that payments are headed their way soon, but I am putting it off as I fear it will make no difference anyway. But my DMC told me to bite the bullet and get on with it, so I will do, but maybe after I delay a wee bit more and have some Diet Irn Bru ;)

Hope everyone is having a good day x
