    How did it go?

We STILL have the forms to take to the registry office of where we are getting married.................. I just never seem to find the time to drive them over
It went fine - I was just asked to give OH's full name, date of birth and occupation, and our address etc. We took our passports and a utility bill each and that was fine for proof of ID.

It's a bit different for us as we're marrying at the Town Hall (so all the admin, I assume, is done in the same offices vis-a-vis giving notice, booking registrar etc.) - so we don't have to take forms with us as that's all handled internally - one less hassle :)

The dresses are fab!!!!!!!!!!! I've posted them on my other thread rather than post them again here - it's the last post on here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/60029063#Comment_60029063

How is everyone else??? It's so quite on here...............

Real life is still getting in the way of wedding plans :(
Reckon we've done the "in sickness" bit so hoping for some "in health".

    Like the dresses.

    Elenora, the flowers are beautiful.

Pleased we got that out of the way last summer - actually if we hadn't planned most of it then, we might be up a creek.
Finally sorted out a wedding cake recipe and design. Ritual for the handfasting side of things is now sorted.
Hoping to finish the formal invites tonight - only a month later than we'd planned to post them.

I don't have 77 days to go anymore since we had to bring our date forward and find a new venue! We only have 28 days now :)

Wow, I hadn't worked out how many days before! So much to do - so little time! ;)

I'm starting a new job next month, so between trying to get things wrapped up at my old job and getting stuck into the new, the wedding's going to have to take a bit of a back seat.

We did get our marriage notice forms handed in this week, so exciting to know it's all official. :)

Hope everybody is enjoying the last few months of planning!

Is anyone else getting nervous how little time there is - how do I leave so much until the last minute?

On the plus side OH FINALLY got his suit yesterday from next and when I saw him in it in the changing rooms I almost cried (dont know whats up with me these days!) He was so handsome!

We still have to do the forms for the registrar etc - I keep putting that bit off as I dont really know what music we want etc. I do like Canon in D but I want some more lighthearted stuff for the guests arriving and us leaving but I also want some continuity you know? I e-not canon and then take that or something - i need just music not songs)

    Argh 83 days to go!!!...:eek::T

Vala- we decided to have the lighthearted style music for guests arriving and leaving and chose canon in d for me walking down the isle and air on a g string for signing of the register and then take that greatest day for leaving! So the 2 important bits nice and classical and the other bits nice and light hearted!

    Not nervous yet (thankfully)
Finally got the formal invites out last week and had the first RSVP (We told everyone where and when over a year ago and had planned that the invites would go out in February).
Our music's planned but we still need to do Registrar's paperwork (due at the end of the month IIRC).
Spent the morning finalising the design for the wedding cake with Herself.
Hopefully on track, but there's still 80 days for it go awry :)
Thanks for the countdown Ajax, its suddenly starting to feel real and imminent.

Eeek!!! its getting close now! 2 months today!
I am having 2 panics, one is my invites when I went to put the bits together , the pockets don't fold the right way so rethinking required. Hopefully with a bit of Scotch Magic tape I can make them the way I want them.
Panic 2, I hate my arms! I have lost 3.5 stones in weight and my left arm in particular looks flaby! Due to a recent operation, I can't manage much exercise. My dress has shoestring diamonte straps and is chiffon, so I was wondering about a ivory feather boa rather then a shrug or wrap.
    On the plus side
    Wedding rings ordered
    Music chosen
    Registrar forms sent in

Its lovely when people reply isn't it. We too have just finished our invites (just emailed ours) and tbh we knew who was coming but it seems more official now :rotfl:

Wow 3.5 stone that's fantastic and such an inspiration, so must be so so proud!

I hate my arms too, well more the bat-wing bit, not the whole arm but I feel I have 'butch' arms, ridiculous I know but I just wish they were.....toned.....
