Seller phoned me about feedback i left

The OP doesn't need to guess as by leaving feedback on their own experience other buyers can check for themselves. Isn't this the purpose of feedback.
Their own experience so far is;
Purchased The Item - Item Sent 2nd instead of 1st Class - Buyer Complained - Seller Did not reply (He may have a valid reason for the delay in not responding) - Buyer left negative feedback - Seller Refunded and buyer kept the item.
I'm not saying the Seller is innocent in all this as he should have replied quicker. But he did all he could to put it right and now the buyer is in a better posisition than before the transaction.
The buyer is now not happy because he thinks the seller is sending other items 2nd class when it says 1st, even though he has no proof. He is nit picking.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. As stated several times the seller did respond
I had a response from the seller saying "I will have to ammend my listings as the prices of first class post have gone up and the fees are also rediculous after postage and paypal and ebay fees its working out too much to send first class ".
It was after the buyer received that message, checked the listings, that hadn't been changed that he left the negative.
From what I can remember it was days afterwards, seller had lots of time to do something but chose not to until after the neg was left.
The buyer allegedly told the seller that he did not want a refund for FB removal.
It is all here in the thread & the original one, link in #10.0 -
I think much of this is fantasy. Ebay provide a link for the police to use exclusively? This person has far too many problems, and some of his posts contradict each other.0

How does the buyer not know that the listings he had to ammend were just on the items he had purchased, which are now ammended?
I wonder how many people on here would be making a thread if they were the seller in this situation, complaining about a buyer who kept the item, got a refund but is still not happy because he THINKS the postage on your other listings are wrong?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. He didn't leave a neg because the postage on the other listings was wrong, he left a neg days & days after he contacted the seller who basically said tough, I couldn't afford to send out 1st class so despite what my listings say, I am selling things really under false pretenses, you can pay me more than you would have paid an honest seller who states 2nd class delivery, he didn't offer to refund the difference between 1st & 2nd class.
Once the neg was left, he then allegedly wanted to put things right.
How much is true I have no idea, as this buyer has an awful lot of problems with his transactions as macfly has pointed out.
Whether true or not, in this scenario my response would be the same.
If I listed something with 1st class post & sent it 2nd, either by mistake or because I was too bone idle to change the costs after a price increase then I would apologise to the buyer & refund. Not tell them how hard it is to make a living on ebay with all the associated costs.
That is what I would want as a buyer, if the seller didn't offer that then yes I would neg them. He could send me refunds, flowers, champagne & a packet of fags & I still wouldn't change my mind.
The time to negotiate it is prior to a neg feedback. Once you've got one, learn by it change the way you do things & move on.0 -

I get the impression the seller is the one still unhappy not the buyer.
In my view the seller went wrong by appearing to be more concerned with the negative than correcting the issue.
They tried refunding, they tried phoning, they tried blaming ebay, they tried blaming Royal Mail, they finally tried correcting a few listings.
Personally I tend to respond to my mistakes with a refund and a thank you for spotting the mistake.0 -
Everyone knows postage went up. The main thing is, did it arrive in the time stated in "view order details". If it did, then buyer is a pain and i hope i never deal with them. If not - the feedback may have been justified - although it would not have left it myself. I'm a nice person , you see - and i don't scrutinize every detail of my parcel like some saddo looking for faults. If i was like that - i would stick to the shops and give online a miss.0

I never said he left the negative because he didnt change the postage on his other items, but he seems to be using it as an excuse not to revise his feedback after the Seller refunded.
And it would seem he didnt leave it due to the seller saying 'tough' either;I left negative feedback because the seller sent my items out 2nd class and not first class, so i contacted the seller to see why and they said the listings need to be ammended, so as the seller relisted there items and didn't ammend there listings i left negative feedback. So i guess the seller is only selling for feedback.
To be honest, I'm not sure the OP knows when he left feedback.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Have to agree with this as i do not think the seller has done anything that deserves a neg feedback and did try to sort things out so why not give him a break!!

From the other thread:
"The item is only low value but to send the item first class would have cost the seller a extra 10p."
10p.
Seriously. 2 threads and 6 pages?0
